December 22, 2019 Episode 2 (UK Original Air Date March 17, 2008)

Ian is staring at the aftermath of what happened in his home. He picks up a photo of Lucy.
Tanya is sitting going over her books. Max asks Tanya why she didn’t join him in the shower. She tells him she’s just a bit tired. Max says it was the best ever. He kisses Tanya and notices a letter from the solicitor. He asks her why she hasn’t canceled the divorce. She tells him they’ve had a lot on and she hasn’t had time. He tells her to call today as it’s important. She tells him she will when she has a chance. He tells her he’s signed the share forms, and they are back on track, so she needs to call today. She says she’ll post the share forms today. He says she rings the solicitors, and he’ll post the forms when she does. She says she’ll call today. She kisses Max and walks out of the room. Max picks up the forms and makes sure Tanya is out of the room. He tears them up and puts them in the envelope.
Shirley is sleeping on the sofa with Heather’s foot in her face. Shirley wakes and tells Heather to get her foot out of her face. Heather asks if Shirley slept, alright? Shirley tells her she didn’t and felt like she went 12 rounds with a boxer and not in a good way. She says she couldn’t sleep with Heather snoring and Tweetie pie chirping all night. Heather says she couldn’t expect her mum to sleep with Shirley, could she? Shirley wants to know what her mum is doing there anyway? Heather tells Shirley not to be mad as she’s never kept a secret from her until now. Shirley wonders what she is talking about? Heather tells her she sent her mummy a photo from the wedding shoot. Shirley wonders why she thought that was a good idea? Heather says she just wanted her mum to be proud of her. Minty and Garry come in complaining about Queenie being in the bathroom for ages. Heather says she’s just settling in. Garry says this is not some bleeding hotel! Minty says Queenie gives him the creeps. Queenie clears her throat as she’s standing behind Garry. She comes in and speaks to her “pretty girl, beautiful girl” Tweetie Pie. She demands a full English upon getting out of the bath. Heather says Mummy does like her hot soaks, and she could be in there for hours! Minty begs to use the bathroom, but Queenie isn’t having it. Garry tells Heather if her mum thinks she’s moving in, then they are all moving out as he points to her and Shirley.
Jane and Ian are appalled at the mess. Jane is mortified at the destruction of their beautiful home. Peter comes down and says he hopes they ground Lucy for a year. Jane says to make that two years. Ian tells Peter to get his sister. Peter says she’s not in her room. Ian thinks it’s typical of her to leave to avoid clearing up the mess. Steven says maybe they both went too far and if he apologized? Jane tells Steven Lucy is the only one who should be apologizing. She tells Ian she hopes he made Lucy realize how upset they were. He says that he did. He tells Jane they have to get ready to meet the Queen.
Queenie is enjoying her full English. Garry motions to Shirley. Shirley says that they all have to get to work so. Queenie tells them Heather knows how to look after her. Garry tells Queenie that this was a one night visit only. Queenie tells them all she’s not going anywhere until she gets some answers. Queenie pulls out the magazine saying the last thing she knows is Heather runs out on her, and now she’s marrying some porky baldy. Minty says that Heather has been a real mate, and she’s marrying him in place of Garry’s mum. Queenie says to Heather that he’s only marrying her for the money. Shirley tells Queenie she has to go home. Queenie tells them she can’t go home as she’s homeless. It seemed when Heather left, and she couldn’t keep the flat clean, so she’s been evicted.
Abi asks Max where Marge 1 is? Max explains that a fox probably got it. Abi wonders if Marge will go to Heaven? Max says it will be ok. Bradley walks up, and Abi explains what’s happened. She asks Bradley round for the memorial later. He declines as he just started his new job. Abi says she’s hardly seen him lately. Bradley says he’ll take her and Lauren to the ice rink this weekend. Max thinks that is great, and they can make it a family night. Bradley says he thinks he’ll just make it just him and the girls. Max sends Abi off to get some sweets. Max says that the girls miss him; they all miss him. Bradley says he can’t exactly just stop in now, can he? Max says it doesn’t have to be like that.
Max takes out the paper from Tanya’s solicitors and calls to set up an appointment.
Ian is ready for the meeting with the Queen. The taxi arrives. His phone rings, and it’s Peter in a panic as Lucy isn’t at school. Jane spins around in her outfit, asking if it’s good enough for her majesty? Ian tells Jane that the Queen will have to wait as Lucy hasn’t turned up at school. He says to tell the taxi they won’t be needing him. Jane asks him if he’s just going to let Lucy win? Ian says Lucy is more important than the Queen.
Zainab is looking at a bill for 502 pounds. Shabnam comes in and asks if they’ve sold any of their stock. Zainab says they’ll have to get the word out about it is all. Zainab asks if she remembers Jalil? Shabnam describes him as mousy with braces, yes she remembers. Zainab explains he’s going to be moving in with them and interning at the post office. Shabnam tells her mum he’s not really her type. Dawn comes in, and Shab fills her in on what her mum is up to.
Tanya’s nerves are shot, and she knocks over a stand. Sean comes in and helps her. Sean asks if he’s signed the paperwork. She shakes her head, yes. But SEan sees something in her eyes. He notices tears and begs her to tell him she didn’t sleep with Max. She tells him she had to, as it was the only way to make him sign them. Sean starts to cry and inhales deeply. She tells Sean they are free now. She tells him he can book the flights because they are leaving. Sean is very upset and doesn’t speak. He swallows tears.
Ian shuts the caff down. Minty and Garry wonder whats going on? He never closes. They push Ian about the party at his house. Ian says that Lucy made a mistake. He sees Christian and calls out to him. He asks if he’s seen lucy? He says yeah, I’ve just come from double maths! Ian tells him that Lucy has bunked off school. Ian says none of this would have happened if he’d looked after her. Christian asks if he has come down too hard on her? Christian asks if he’s ever had a party that got out of hand? Christian stops him and says he probably didn’t. Christian tells Ian that it’s his daughter, and some of this might be Ian’s fault.
The girls are setting up the Vic for St Patrick’s day. Roxy reminds Ronnie that time they were in Chicago, and the river was died green. Shirley comes in, and they tease her about the state of her. They ask if she’s had a shower? Shirley explains she couldn’t as Queenie used all the hot water. What was she supposed to do? Roxy says, take a cold one! She and Ronnie walk-off, giggling. Phil tells Shirley they are just having a laugh. He asks if she can take it. Shirley says that s her she can take anything.
Tanya comes in looking through the books and spies Max’s briefcase. She calls out for Max. She opens it and finds the papers all torn apart. She feels sick.
Ian is at home with Jane. He tells her that he’d dreamed of this his whole life, the Bealle name in the palace. Jane says she can’t believe Lucy ruined this day for him. Jane tells Ian that when Lucy comes back, he’s got to put his foot down.
Max comes in, and she asks him about those papers. He lies and says he posted them, first-class, today. He also tells Tanya that he’s phoned her solicitor and made an appointment to cancel the divorce. Tanya feigns a smile and hides her tears as he kisses her and says he won’t let her take the kids and divorce him.
Garry asks if Jabba the hut has left. Shirley tells him no. Minty and Garry work on a plan. Roxy comes in with costumes. Shirley and Phil refuse theirs.
Jane and the workers are cleaning up. Tanya comes in and tells her Lauren was in an alright state after the party. Jane asks if Tanya is alright? Tanya says she’s never been clearer.
Shabnam convinces Tamwar to lie for her to cover to get her out of cleaning.
Peter comes home and asks if Lucy is back yet?
Garry and Minty come in and find the flat empty. Garry says they have to get their hands on what the enemy wants. Garry steals Queenie’s bird.
Max welcomes Ian in asking if Lucy is there. Max tells Lauren to tell him what she knows. Lauren says that Lucy texted to meet her at the swings, but she never showed. Ian asks if Lucy said anything about them arguing. Lauren says, no.
Shabnam meets Dawn on the square. Dawn teases her that Operation Get-Her-Down-The-Aisle is in full swing.
Queenie and Heathe are walking. Heather fills her in on her jobs on the square. She tells Queenie how wonderful everyone is and how nice Walford is as well. Queenie says it’s dog rough, and she (motioning towards Dawn) is a tart. Heather says that people are really nice to her around here. Queenie tells her, “but we know what they really think.” Minty and Garry run off with the bird.
Phil comes up to gather Shirley to get down and get to work. She tells him she’ll be down in five minutes. Phil tells her she’ll be down when he tells her. Shirley says, alright!
Heather and Queenie come in. Queenie finds the note about her bird. She screams, “PIG!”
Bradley drops off a card for Abi. He and Max argue about him abandoning the girls. Bradley tells him he can’t put the blame on him for splitting up the family. Max says the girls really miss their brother. Bradley tells him he’ll see them on his terms. HE tells him to stop trying to play dad with him.
Ian calls all Lucy’s friends, and no one has seen her. Jane says no record in the hospitals. Steven says she might be afraid. Ian says they have to start looking further than they have. Jane says she will come with him. Ian says someone has to stay there in case she comes back. They head out to find Lucy.
Minty and Garry are waiting for Queenie in the pub. She arrives, and Garry says no matter what, she says they don’t give the bird back until she’s gone! Queenie goes to Shirley and says, give me my pretty now! Shirley tells Queenie she didn’t knick her bird. Queenie says to give her bird back so she can go home! Heather says mum can’t go back as she’s been evicted. Shirley says she’s been having a go as she can go home. Heather looks hurt that her mum has lied.
Abi buries Marge. She apologizes to Marge for the fox, digging her up and eating her. She tells her that every time she sees this flower, she will think of her, and so will Bradley. Max asks her if this is going to take long? Abi tells him that everyone deserves a proper grave. Tanya tells him it’s not exactly the perfect night out. Max hugs her and says, “well, at least we are back together.” Tanya says she’ll get them a bottle of wine to celebrate.
The St. Patrick’s party is in full swing. Minty and Garry try to get Shirley to sing with them. She tells them to get off her. Ronnie wonders what is the matter as it’s supposed to be a fun night. Shirley tells her she ain’t in the mood for it or her. Ronnie snaps back, telling her to get her attitude straight. Phil tells them both to stop it. Ronnie tells Shirley the barrel is off and to go tend to it.
Peter and Ian call out for Lucy. Peter tells him tath he doesn’t like it. Steven and Christian find them and tell them no one has seen her. Jane shows up to tell Ian she’s been in her room, and her clothes and bag are gone.
At the pub, Minty and Garry are doing their version of Riverdance. Roxy tries to pour them a pint, but the barrel is still off. Phil stops Ronnie and goes to sort Shirley. He asks her what is wrong? Couldn’t she wait to take her smoke break before changing the barrel? He can’t figure out why she’s been trappy all day? He thought this was the kind of night that was right up her ally! She laughs. She tells him that she might not be life and soul for much longer as she’s found a lump, and it might be cancer.
Sean comes to tells Shabnam that her mum has just been on the phone, and it’s past her bedtime. Shabnam says she must go. Sean waves goodbye. Tanya comes in and tells Sean she needs to talk to him. Sean has booked the tickets, ordered champagne. He’s even found great schools for the girls. Tanay tells him they aren’t going anywhere.
Shabnam comes in and meets Jalil. He’s a handsome man, and Shabs is not expecting that. Zainab says, “it’s a pity you are too busy to show him around the square.” Shabs says she has time.
Tanya says she was stupid to think she could get out of this. She’s sick of Max winning. Sean says that they can just take the girls and go. Tanya says no, he’ll find her and take the kids. Sean says he won’t let him. Tanya says she’s sick of max taking control of everything. There is only one way out of this. She’s going to kill him.
