The radio is on talking about Dr. Who and all of Bradley’s favorite things as he joyful irons his shirt dancing to “Moving on Up.” Next door, Jean does dishes dancing to the same song. Clare comes in and distracts Bradley, and he burns his shirt. She snidely tells him that burnt isn’t the new fashion statement. Bradley is frustrated. Elsewhere Shirley pours a stiff drink and throws her pillow on the radio.

Steven apologizes to Stacey and tells her he is sorry he tried to kiss her. He says that he lied to her, and he does fancy her. He begs her not to chuck it all away because of last night. Stacey tells him not to be daft! Him trying to kiss her doesn’t change anything. She tells him if he doesn’t mind, she has to go get ready.

Shirley replies, “says the alcoholic.” She tells him she’s got a cold and she took some tablets and they’ve kicked in. She says to Phil to look as she holds out her hands, and they are steady as a rock, like a great big rock.
Sean and Tanya are cozy in the kitchen. Sean asks Tanya if it’s her turn to sneak around? She replies that it is, and she’s going to do what Max did to her. Sean reminds her that she is going to have to sit with Max, laugh at his jokes, feel his breath on her neck, knowing what she’s going to do to him. He reminds her that Max will want to be back in her bed. Tanya tells Sean that she will not allow that until he’s signed everything over to her, and by then, they’ll be gone. She and Sean make out in the kitchen. Outside, Max is making his way across the square with his belongings. He stares up at the house and walks up the stairs. He rings the bell interrupting Tanya and Sean’s make-out session. Max rings the bell and calls out to her. She opens the door. He tells her he thought she forgot he was coming. She apologizes and says she was on the phone. Max walks in, and Tanya sees Sean walking past the house. She steadies herself to go inside.
Jane is speaking with Clare. Ian walks into the caff. Jane asks Ian if this is true? Clare says she’s sorry that she didn’t mean to drop him in it. Ian immediately apologizes and says it’s not what it seems. Jane replies that he always has to charge in! He knows what Lucy is like! Ian replies, “Lucy?” Clare says that Lucy almost knocked her overcharging out of the gate! Ian explains why they’ve grounded her. Jane tells him that she thought they dealt with this last night. He asks her if she really wants to do this course? Stacey says that she really does. Sean tells her if she finds her way out of there to take it. Jean comes in and is excited to see Sean. Jean wonders if he’s staying? He tells her no, no, he’s not. Sean leaves, and Jean orders Charlie to get going. He tells Stacey he’s just going to get his key. Jean tells Stacey she’ll be thinking of her. Stacey yells at Uncle Charlie to get going.
They come out of the door just as Bradley is coming out of his. They pause, and Jean tells Bradley that Stacey has a big day and interview ahead. Bradley nods at Stacey. He tells them that he has an interview today. Stacey is keen on him. Bradley says, “you know you have to grab the bull by the horns and take charge!” Jean points out he still has the tissues stuck to his face. He pulls it off, saying that he was rushing this morning. He misses one, and Jean tries to help him. Charlie offers him a ride. Bradley turns him down. Bradley wishes Stacey good luck. Jean tells him that Stacey is going to be a fashion designer. Stacey plays it down that it’s just a look in on a course. Bradley wishes her good luck, and she wishes him the same.
Tanya shows Max where he can put his things. He tells her he doesn’t want to feel like he’s booked into some B&B. She tells him that she is going to need some time. He understands but replies that he has to feel like she wants him there. Tanya tells him of course she does, and she needs to know he really means it too. Max explains that he’s not going to blow it again. Tanya tells him once he’s proved that things can get back to normal. Max says he’s just sorted out the paperwork, but it’s not going to happen overnight. She tells him she doesn’t want it like this. Max tells her neither does he. He tells her she can trust him. She says she hopes she can. Tanya tells him it might be best for him to sleep on the sofa for now. Max is frustrated by this.
Bradley arrives at his job site and asks for Alex French. The guy points him in the direction of the “man.” Bradley walks over and asks for Mr. French. Ms. French says that’s her.
Stacey is waiting for the interview when two young girls come out. Stacey asks how old they are to the instructor. She replies that they are 16, first year. Stacey says they are just kids. She looks at Stacey’s dress and asks her if this is a sample of her work? Stacey replies it is. She picks up the dress and asks Stacey to come through.
Bradley explains he only came down because someone from his office said they were looking for people, and he’s local. Ms. French says that would be Katie, and she got it wrong. Bradley pleads his case. He tells her that he’s just the kind of bloke she should hire. She wonders if that is right? Bradley says, yes. She gives and says for him to speak with Steve as he’s in charge of hiring casual laborers. If they need help, he’ll call him. Bradley explains he’s not a laborer. He tells her he has something in mind.
Stacey is explaining why she thinks the things in the shops all look alike and how she likes to be original. The interviewer asks her what designers she likes. Stacey names off a few, and she is asked what she thought of one of their latest collections. Stacey admits she was just found them last week. The interviewer tells Stacey that she feels like she should do this course. However, they don’t have room in this class. She tells Stacey that there is room in Croydon. Stacey explains why she can’t leave Walford. The interviewer asks Stacey if she wants her to call them up for her to see if she can get a spot?
Shirley drops a tray of glassware. Phil comes in to see what she is doing. She tells him she thought she would take up juggling. She cuts her finger, and Phil gets out a plaster. Phil wonders what is wrong. Shirley tells him nothing. He says things were fine the other night, and then you just disappeared. She tells him it’s nothing. She asks Phil for a drink. He tells her no, and she should just go home. She tells him that she just needs one drink and she’ll be alright. Phil tells Shirley that she knows what happens after one drink. He’s not having it. Shirley says they could have a drink together. Phil grabs her and pushes her towards the door and tells her not in the state she is in. Shirley protests and declares she is hardly drunk. He kicks her out. She threatens to have him arrested for harassment. Heather is out on the street. Phil asks Heather to sort Shirley out. Shirley cries out that she doesn’t need sorting out. She says she doesn’t need anything!
Ian and Christian are discussing business, and Ian is not sure of things. Christian tells him it’s a good idea if they want to push forward. Christian says they can take this job and bring Clare on board again. Jane protests not unless they want someone rabbiting around all night. Ian doesn’t speak up. Christian tells Ian that they’d be fools not to take advantage of having Clare on their doorstep.
Jane takes the trash to the bin and calls out to Tanya. Tanya and Jane meet in the middle of the market. Jane wonders if it is true that she’s taken Max back. Tanya says that word spreads fast! She explains to Jane that she is trying to get her life back in order, and maybe they should meet up instead of having a go. Jane tells Tanya that she’s not having a go. She’s just trying to wish her luck, but she is trying to understand. Tanya tells her that Max is the only man she’s ever loved. She tells Jane she is sorry she doesn’t like it, but she’ll do what she wants to do.

He promises that they will never be apart again. Abi asks if he’s back forever, really? He tells her yes, forever. Tanya grabs Abi and goes to the kitchen. He apologizes to Lauren for hurting her and saying the things he did to her. He asks for her forgiveness. She hugs him.
Stacey comes into the pub, all smiles. Jean notes she is smiling. They ask her how it went. She tells them they can’t offer her a place. Charlie, Jean, and Steven are disappointed with her. Stacey plays it down and says it’s no big deal. She’s just going to have to sell her own wares on her stall. Steven follows her to the bar and asks her why she didn’t get in? She explains there was no spot there for her is all. Besides, she’s not going to go back to school and be some poxy student.
Clare walks into the pub and asks Bradley how his interview went. He tells her it was okay. She realizes he didn’t get a job and says there is no point in tapping him for a drink then.
Jane and Ian come home. Jane says she really doesn’t understand people. Ian gets a text from Clare asking if he’d like to buy her a drink. Ian tells Jane maybe it is for the best that Max and Tanya are back together. He tells her people to make mistakes, and it can turn out okay. Jane pauses to acknowledge her own indiscretion in her mind and answers that he’s right. Ian says it’s more important for them to keep their family together, most likely. Jane says until Max cheats again. Ian says that she (Stacey) was younger than him, attractive, and all. Jane says, so Max is a dirty old perv. Ian says he can understand why Max thought it was okay. He tells Jane it’s like with Clare. Jane wonders what he means. He says sometimes a man thinks that when he sees a younger woman and they get all these ideas in their heads. Ian says, “I’m sorry, Love.” Jane wonders if he’s slept with Clare. Ian tells her that he didn’t, but he thought about it. Ian tells Jane that Clare has been coming on to him. Jane asks him if he wanted to sleep with Clare. He says yes, but he didn’t do anything. Jane wonders if he did, in fact, sleep with Clare. He tells her no, he thought about what would happen if he did. Jane cries. Ian tells Jane that he knew he couldn’t, and it’s been driving him mad. He tells her he didn’t want to be like Max and cheat or anything. He tells Jane he only wants her and he’s really sorry.
Max asks Tanya if she wants to getaway? Would it be a good idea to get some time together? Tanya tells him, “what we go on holiday, and everything is forgotten?” He explains no, but it would do them good to spend some time together. She says she will think about it. Max brings the pizza into the girls.
Stacey walks over to Sean. She asks if anyone has served him yet? He says, “Nope, I think Mr. Potato Head is working on his own today,” Sean asks if he’s not going to be seeing her designs in the local supermarket then? She tells him no, he won’t. He tells her that’s good because she would have been working with a bunch of lentil munchers anyway. She simply replies, “yeah,” as she watches Bradley and Clare.
Heather pleads Shirley’s case to Phil. He tells her to tell Shirley that if she still wants her job, she better be sober the next time he sees her. Shirley finishes a bottle at home.
Bradley is on the phone. Steven tells Stacey he really thought she was going to get it. Bradley finds out he’s been offered the job. Stacey overhears. Clare comes out and gets a text from Ian that says he’s with his wife. She calls him a loser. Steven tells Stacey he just wants them to be mates. Stacey is watching Bradley as he tells Clare he’s been offered a position. Stacey gets up to leave. She tells Charlie, Jean, and Steven she’s going to change and get back on the stall. Bradley looks her way. Jean tells her she’s going to cook her a special meal to cheer her up. Stacey looks at Bradley and says she is fine. Clare wonders if Bradley will have to wear a hard hat. Bradley says he won’t, as he’ll be working on commission. Clare only hears that he’ll be making a load of cash and changes her attitude towards Bradley.
Steven chases Stacey home. He wonders what happened. She tells him she didn’t get in, and that is all there is to it. Steven wonders why? She tells him she isn’t leaving her mum with Sean. Steven susses out that she’s afraid of things changing. She tells him that she is not scared of nothing. She likes working on her stall, and if that makes her a loser, then that is fine. Steven tells her she can do whatever she wants, and it doesn’t make her a loser working on the stall. He tells her she is brilliant. Stacey kisses Steven.
