Stacey is pinning a pattern to the material. Jean comes in and says she just wanted to slip in to see how she was doing. Stacey tells her mum she didn’t want anyone to see until it’s done, and she knows it is alright. She sends Jean back upstairs and promises to bring her tea.
Sean wonders when Max is coming home? Tanya explains that it’s today. She tells Sean the sooner he comes, the sooner this will all be over. Sean is not happy about any of this. She promises him she doesn’t want it either, but it’s the only way. She hears Lauren moving upstairs and tells Sean he has to get going as she doesn’t want them seeing him there. She tells him that they need everyone to believe this. He tells her he will call. She tells him no, she will call him.
Jean is excited about Stacey. Stacey tells her mum that she hasn’t even started pinning. Jean tells her if there is one thing she can do is make dresses. Jean takes over, and Stacey stops her. Jean tells her she understands as she thinks she will mess it all up. Stacey says she needs to do it on her own. Stacey asks her mum to help Mo on the store. Jean promises she will for first shot at Stacey’s collections. Stacey isn’t sure that is going to happen.
Tanya explains to the girls that she and Sean are finished. Lauren says she thought that she and Sean were getting on. Tanya explains that sometimes things are not how they seem. Abi asks, like what? She tells the girls that she has responsibilities to them and Oscar. Tanya tells the girls that she’s had a chat with their Dad about giving it another go. Abi jumps up and thanks to her for the best news ever. Lauren is not as excited and walks out.
Phil and Ben are discussing his project. Ben says they could always ask Shirley to help. Phil laughs and says they can do it themselves.
Sean comes in, and Stacey wonders what he’s doing there. She wonders what he’s looking at them for? She asks if something has happened with him and Tanya? He shakes his head, yes. He texts her and asks if she’s told the kids yet. Tanya begins to text him back and stops.
Ian is working in the caff, and Clare comes in. He tells Jane he needs to go get some brown sauce. Jane tells him there is some under the counter. Jane leaves and says she’ll be back soon. Clare says she put all her money in the laundry and wonders if she could have a soft drink and an iced bun. As soon as Ian walks away, she puts her underwear in his coat pocket. Clare rushes out. Bradley walks in, and Max speaks to him about helping him with business contacts.
Stacey doesn’t believe that Max has convinced Tanya to take him back. Sean asks her if she thinks he likes any of this? Stacey doesn’t understand why the switch and thinks six months from now, it will be like nothing ever happened. Max always gets what he wants. Stacey doesn’t understand why he isn’t fighting it. Sean yells at her and saying maybe he doesn’t want Max to see he got to him. Sean tells Stacey that Tanya has made her choice, and there is nothing he can do about it.
Lucy and Lauren discuss that Max is coming home. Lucy thinks she would be happy. Lauren says it’s just going to be weird. Lucy gets a text and runs off. Jane calls after her saying she’s going to be late. Lucy doesn’t even acknowledge Jane. Jane says that she hopes her Dad doesn’t see. Lauren wonders why? Jane says sometimes it is all she does keeping the peace between Lucy and her Dad.
Sean wonders what Stacey is doing with all the material. She tries to explain when he turns the music on loud. Stacey loses her temper and leaves. Sean takes out his phone to make a call. Outside, Stacey is walking, and Steven calls after her. She wonders what he wants? He says it’s not much of a welcome. She tells him she’s not in the mood. Jean calls out and wonders where she is going as she thought she was finishing the dress. Steven is chuffed she is doing it. Stacey tells him she is not. Jean tells Stacey not to let Sean ruin it. Steven says she needs a quiet place, and he can help.
Jane is helping Tanya as they discuss the girls. Tanya tells Jane that maybe Lucy and Lauren just had a little blow-up? Jane says not that it was definitely something she said that upset Lauren. Tanya tells Jane that Lauren is bound to be a little sensitive with everything going on. Jane offers to help with the girls. Tanya tells her that she’s managing ok. Tanya tells her that she may have gotten it all wrong. Jane yells at Tanya and tells her if she ever decides to take Max back, she will lock her in a room until she comes to her senses.
Steven takes Stacey to Christian’s flat. She wonders if he won’t mind? Steven is standing around, and she tells him he can’t just stand there and watch. He says he wants to help. She says she has just the job.
Bradley is on the phone and finds out the person he’s been holding for is gone. Mickey comes in and notices Bradley is down. Bradley asks if he wants to watch a DVD.
Ben comes home, and Shirley wonders if his Dad knows he’s come home for lunch. Ben tells her that he doesn’t want to stay at school. All the kids at school were bragging about how their mums were helping them with their models. Shirley offers to help him. Ben is happy.
Abi goes to see her mum at the shop. She wonders why Abi is not at school. Abi shows her the card she’s made for her Dad. Abi promises to do all her chores, and then they won’t have anything to argue over. Tanya hugs Abi.
Steven asks Stacey how much longer? He tells her he feels stupid. He’s her model, and she’s pinning the dress on him.
Sean follows Tanya into the house. He wonders how long this is going to go on? He pushes Tanya to tell Max today. She promises to tell him.
Steven gets stuck with pins and complains. Stacey tells him to quit moving. They have fun, and Christian comes in to find them in his flat. He wonders what they are doing? Steven says he thought he was going to be gone all day. Steven tells Stacey to get that dress off of him as he’s clearly embarrassed. Stacey apologizes to Christian.
Phil calls out to Ben about how many wires he wanted when Shirley comes in. He wonders what she is doing there? Shirley tells him she’s covering for him. Phil is confused. Ben appears in the door and locks them in. Phil bangs on the door, demanding him to open the door. Shirley susses it out and figures out that Ben is playing cupid.
Steven storms out as Stacey calls out for him to wait. Christian jokes and says, “Oh dear, where has Dororthy gone? Taken Toto back to Kansas?” Stacey tells him that she is sorry about his flat and she’ll clear out in a minute. Christian wonders at her “frock” and makes a comment about what she’ going for. Stacey tells him to go on as he’s started. Christian says he shouldn’t, but Stacey asks him to explain. Christian tells her it depends on what she likes. He names off some designers, and Stacey looks lost. He picks up a magazine and hands it to her. He says it might give her some ideas.
Tanya is coming down the stairs, hears Max’s message asking if he can move back in or not. Lauren is standing there, and Tanya jumps as she didn’t know he was there. Lauren tells her mum that if she is taking their Dad back for them, then don’t. Tanya says she’s not. Lauren says it’s going to be weird, acting as nothing happened. Tanya tells her it might be awkward at first. She tells Lauren that she can always talk to her if she feels upset. Lauren tells her mum that she was just getting used to things how they are. She liked her mum getting back to normal. She is scared that max is going to upset Tanya again.
Clare comes in hears Mickey and Bradley. She goes to the kitchen to see the mess they’ve made. Clare comes in and tells Bradley that the kitchen stinks and the living room stinks. Mickey tells Clare she can join in their game. She says no thanks. Clare text Ian.
Ian’s mobile goes off. He asks Jane to grab his phone. He tells her it’s in his inside pocket. She finds it. The text reads, “have you found them yet?” Ian panics. Jane wonders who the text is from. He lies and says the suppliers. Steven is there as Christain walks in. Christian makes a joke about all the dresses Steven can buy with his money. Christian tells Jane and Ian; it’s a private joke as STeven turns red. They tell him not to have private jokes. Steven tells him to tell them. Christian pushes, and Steven admits he was wearing a dress. He says he was only helping Stacey out. Stacey comes in, and they are all laughing as STeven tries to explain. Stacey tells them all to go on and have their laugh at Stacey slater, trying to make something of herself.
Ian comes in, and Lucy is there with a boy. Matthew is trying to leave. Lucy is embarrassed. Ian kicks the boy out, and Lucy storms off. Ian says he wants Matthews’s parent’s phone number. He pulls out Clare’s underwear and tells the boy just to get out.
Shirley and Phil end up in a paper mache fight and have a good laugh together. Ben is happy. Ben starts to explain himself. Phil tells him no harm done.
Tanya looks in on Lauren. She picks up the phone and calls Max and says they need to talk. He says he’ll come straight round. She tells him to meet in the VIC.
Steven tells Stacey they weren’t laughing at her. She says it doesn’t matter as if it wasn’t that it would be something else. Steven says, so that is it? She is just going to let what other people think to decide what she does in the future? She tells him just to get her a drink.
Phil is swamped and calls up the stairs for Shirley. She comes out of the bathroom, looking like she’s had bad news. She stumbles into the rail and starts to cry.
Downstairs, Bradley and Mickey come in. Stacey looks on nervously. Ian follows in and walks up to Clare, telling her he’s been looking for her. She says, “so you found them then?” He wonders what would have happened if Jane or the kids had found them? She replies that he could have told them it was a joke. Max walks up to Bradley and asks if he’s celebrating. Bradley tells him he just wanted to come in and have a quiet drink. Max says he thought he’d be celebrating finding a job not hanging about with the likes of Johnny, no hope. Mickey takes offense and says he has hope. Max says, yeah, but some of us find it by getting off our backsides. Stacey yells down, “that’s right, Max gives him the Branning pep talk!” Max looks at Stacey and asks if he was talking to her? Bradley takes a call and walks away. Max tells Mickey not to take offense as some of them want more than hanging about down by the two-bit market. Bradley’s worth more than that he says. Stacey gets off her seat, storming towards Max. She wonders what that means? She was good enough for him and his son once. Max tells her, yeah, she nearly hitched herself a free ride. Let’s face it. The only way you’re ever going to really amount to anything isn’t it. Bradley wonders what he means. Max tells Bradley to look at her. The only thing she has going for her is her looks, and once they go, it’s done. Tanya walks in and listens. Max tells him, “but you son, you have the world in front, don’t you?” Stacey tells Bradley that Max is working on the full set, isn’t he? Bradley wonders what she means? Stacey explains that Tanya is taking him back, and he wants him back too. Bradley is confused. Stacey says, “didn’t he tell you? They’re one big happy family until it goes pear-shaped.” Tanya says that was some show. Max says, “it wasn’t me that started it.” Tanya tells him he sounds like the girls now. Bradley demands to know if she’s taking him back. Sean stands just behind Bradley, watching and listening. Tanya motions that there is a table free to Max.
Phil goes up and finds Shirley. He jokes that he thought she drowned. She looks in shock. Phil invites her for pizza with him and Ben. She tells him she can’t as she has to go.
Tanya tells Max that she came there to tell him that he can move his stuff back in first thing tomorrow. Max sighs a sigh of relief. She explains that the same terms stand, and she wants everything signed over to her. He promises he will, and it will all be better than before. She tells him he better.
Stacey is trying to sew and is frustrated. Steven tells her it’s not the machine that is the problem. It’s that lot, and she told them where to go. She doesn’t understand why he even wants to be there. Steven goes in for a kiss. Stacey pushes him and tells him to get off her. She orders him to go.
