Tanya comes down the stairs to find a card that has been put through the mail slot. She opens it, and it reads, “no matter what has happened, I’ll always love you.-Max.” She ponders it for a moment then walks to the kitchen where Sean is making her breakfast. She slyly asks him, “what’s all this?” He was going to bring her breakfast in bed, he tells her. She tells Sean that Oscar was crying. Sean is trying to open a bottle of bubbly, but Tanya tells him not to as she’d like to keep a clear head. She bins the card from Max. Sean asks Tanya if that was from Max. Tanya replies it was, but she isn’t going to let him ruin the day. Sean is still messing with the bottle when Tanya grabs it, sets it down, and pulls him towards the stairs. She tells Sean the girls won’t be awake for ages, and he can give her present to her now. They head upstairs.
Max comes in, and Jack wonders what he’s doing up so early. Max replies he had some errands to run. Jack tells Max he’s not working tonight and asks him if he’d like to play a couple of games of snooker? Max tells him he can’t do it as he’s got a prior engagement. The doorbell rings just as Jack attempts to drink his coffee. He opens the door to find Phil standing there. Phil asks if he’s surprised to see him? He tells Jack that they let him go because there was no evidence to hold him. Jack wonders who Phil got to lie for him. Phil wonders, who wrote Jack’s statement? Mickey Mouse? Phil informs Jack that if he wanted to sort him out, he’d do more than rearrange his furniture. He warns Jack not to come round the pub anymore, or he won’t be so polite.
Ronnie stares at Roxy. Roxy asks her how long she’s going to keep it up? Roxy says she did it for her. Ronnie tells her, and he had Phil arrested. Roxy reminds her Phil is out now. Ronnie tells her if they come round looking for new suspects, she isn’t going to cover for her.
Zainab wakes on the floor of the Post Office. She looks at herself in her pocket mirror and groans.
Tanya and the girls are walking to school. Max says hello to the girls and peeks in Oscar’s pram. Abi tells Lauren all Tanya has to do realize how much their dad loves her, and it will all be okay. Lauren tells her to grow up. Max walks next to Tanya as she tells him he can see Oscar on his visit. Max tells her he misses him. He asks Tanya about her party and accuses her of having a boozer and that the girls shouldn’t be around all of that. She asks him who he is to criticize her parenting. Tanya tells him she’s going to have a civilized do, and it’s not his business anyway. She warns him that he is not going to get to her; it’s pathetic.
Jane tells Ian that she feels bad for turning Christian out. Ian tells Jane that he’s going to be fine. He’ll be able to listen to show tunes, watch movies and hang out with his lot. Jane replies, “his lot?” She tells Ian she has to go set up for Tanya’s party. Ian nervously asks her if that is tonight? She tells him he knows it is. She heads out as Clare walks in. Clare asks Ian what he’s cooking tonight? He tells her to leave it all to him. She leaves, and Ian looks even more nervous.
Ronnie is behind the bar at the pub when Jack walks in. She tells Jack he’s lucky Phil’s not there. Jack informs her he was hoping Phil would be so he could apologize. Jack tells Ronnie he knows it wasn’t Phil who broke into his flat. Ronnie is pleased. Jack then tells her it was her sister. Ronnie laughs, nervously. He tells her they’ll see what the law reckons. Ronnie asks him to wait. She tells him it wasn’t Roxy. It was her. She was angry, and she had to get it out of her system. He hurt her, and she wanted to hurt him, Ronnie tells Jack. Jack tells her she can quit the Spartacus act as she has more class than that. He pulls out a black nail and shows her, telling her he knows she doesn’t bit her nails. Ronnie sighs, knowing he’s right.
Roxy is at Booty to get her nail repaired. Chelsea tells Roxy they can fit her in now. Tanya heads to the door, telling them she’s got to go help Jane set up for the big do. She asks Chelsea if she will be there. Chelsea tells her she wouldn’t miss it. Tanya says there are going to be loads of people there. She invites Roxy, who is surprised given their history, and tells her to bring Ronnie. She tells them all the more, the merrier. She invites Clare as well. Clare tells her, of course. Roxy tells Chelsea that Tanya was a bit desperate, wasn’t she? Chelsea tells her she’s just being friendly and to make her way upstairs. Chelsea tells Clare she’s surprised she is coming. Must be getting lonely at Dot’s. Clare tells her she’s got a client waiting.
Ronnie tells Jack that no harm since insurance will cover everything. Jack tells her until Roxy decides to slash his tires or worse. Ronnie tells him that Roxy wouldn’t do that. Jack isn’t so sure. Ronnie tells him to take her word for it as her word is good, unlike his.
Zainab showers at the Miller’s and is putting on her makeup at a mirror that is dirty. She wipes her finger across it, disgusted by the filth. Someone is coming in, and she runs. Tam and Shabnam come in and discuss their mum sleeping elsewhere. They catch Zainab in the living room, where she pretends to have been returning something. They call her out on where she actually slept and realized she slept at the post office. She laughs and tells them not to be ridiculous. They tell their mum she could stay there and ask her nicely. She walks out with her bags, leaving Tam and Shabnam frustrated.
Ronnie tells Roxy that Jack knows she broke into his flat. Roxy wonders what he’s going to do about it? Ronnie tells Roxy that she’s sorted it this time, but she will not bail her out again. Roxy tells her not to worry! They won. Ronnie walks away from Roxy, bothered by her lack of care. Phil walks up and asks her why she’s so happy? Roxy asks Phil if he ever has one of those days where everything just falls into place? She smiles and looks in Jack’s way. Phil asks her if she’s been winding Jack up? She smiles and walks off.
Max walks up and asks if Jack has had any news? Jack tells him it turns out it was just a bunch of kids. Max asks Jack what he’s going to do about it? Jack tells Max there is no point is there? Max is shocked at how Jack isn’t keen to take control of the situation. Jack tells him it’s not a contest, is it? Max tells him he’s not the Jack he knows.
Clare comes in to find Bradley home. He asks her how she feels about a Bond night. She sighs heavily.
Zainab shuts the Post Office and turns off the lights. She makes a meal in a cup and sighs.
Clare and Bradley are watching the ending of Goldfinger. She tells him they should be going to Tanya’s. He tells her he has no intention of going as it would be weird. Clare tells him he’s got to stop hiding out. She tells him that Tanya isn’t sitting over there with curtains drawn and hiding from the world! He’s still not keen. Clare turns off Bond. He asks her what she’s doing? Clare tells Bradley that Bond would not be sitting on the couch moping after some woman. He’d pick himself up. Dust himself off and go back to saving the world! Bradley tells her she’s right and thanks to her. Clare tells him anytime. She’s pleased to get him out of the house.
Roxy is walking to Tanya’s party when Jack approaches her. He tells Roxy she owes him an apology. She tells him he’ll be waiting a long time as she’s not sorry and would do it again. Jack says he thought she’d say that, grabs her wrist, and slaps cuffs on her. He pulls her over to his car and puts her in as she screams out for help. He gets in and drives away.
Bradley heads out when he sees Sean going into Tanya’s. Behind him, on the street, Ian sneaks over to Clares. She answers the door in a robe. She tells him she left her service washing too late, and it was either the robe or one of Dot’s. Ian is nervous and says he can come back. She tells him it’s not necessary as he’s gone to the trouble to bring the food. Clare tells him it’s not like he hasn’t seen her without her clothes before. At least the robe is more than the towel she replies. Clare wonders if she’s making him uncomfortable. She tells him to get his clothes off if she’s going to be half-naked he’s going to as well. He starts to undress, and she stops him and tells him she is just joking. Ian looks relieved.
Peggy, Billy, and Chelsea are standing around at the party discussing the food. Lucy is enthralled with Darren’s mate Bungle. Lauren doesn’t approve, and Lucy chides her because all Lauren can pull geeks like her brother. Tanya is trying to get the stereo to work, and Bungle walks up to assist. He introduces himself, kisses her hand, and says her name is safe and beautiful. Tanya and Jane giggle as they walk away. Bungle tells Darren he likes an older lady. Jane tells her she’s still got it! She says that Tanya is known as what is called a Yummy Mummy. Tanya tells her that Bungle is all of 5 years old and she’s the mother of 3! Jane reminds her she’s only 33 years old! Tanya says she should go check on Oscar. Jane tells Tanya that Honey is watching him. He’s fine. Jane offers her a glass of wine. Tanya says she’s sticking to the fruit punch tonight. She tells Jane it doesn’t have enough alcohol. Jane tells her she will fix that as Tanya goes to open the door. Christian walks up to Jane, wondering where all the fit men are she promised him. He makes a notion at Darren. Jane tells him Darren is too young for him and has a girlfriend. Christian says they all do, but it’s nothing a few drinks can’t fix. Christian asks Jane where Ian is. She says he’s working. Christian says it’s probably on the flat. She tells him he won’t have to go far for chips. He tells her they better be in the house. Jane tells Christian it’s the least they could do.
Keith is sitting watching telly when there is a knock at the door. Shabnam opens it, and in comes Zainab with her bags. Keith asks what they can do for her? She tells him that she realizes she’s needed there. She hands Keith a gift. He opens it, and it’s a cleaner. He tells her she shouldn’t have. She tells him no need to start tonight; he can begin in the morning.
Ronnie walks into the party. Lucy and Bungle are taking jabs at each other. Ronnie greets Peggy and asks about Roxy. Peggy tells her she hasn’t been there yet.
Roxy tells Jack he’s not a cop anymore. Her mobile rings, and it’s Ronnie. Jack takes it and tells her that Ronnie isn’t going to get her out of this one. He drives on.
Ronnie leaves a voicemail for Roxy, telling her the least she could do is make an appearance at the party since she convinced her to come. Tanya walks up to Peggy and Billy. Peggy tells her that it is a lovely spread. Ronnie walks up to say she’s going, and thanks to Tanya for the invite. Max walks in with a big bouquet of flowers, and Abi is by his side. Sean steps next to Tanya, who is not amused that Max is there. Max tells Tanya that the girls invited him. Abi asks her mum not to be angry and to let him stay. Tanya says, of course, for a while. Jane and Sean look nervous. Tanya tells Max he’s predictable, and she knew he couldn’t resist coming round. She asks if he wants to know why? But it doesn’t bother her because he couldn’t do any worse to her than he’s already done. She walks back to Sean and Jane. Max walks angrily out of the room as everyone looks on.
Bradley is at the pub drinking, telling Phil all about Bond and his philosophy on life and love. Phil looks bored to tears. He asks Bradley if he would like another drink. Bradley jokes that this time can he stir it? He asks Phil if he has any olives. Phil just stares at him. Ronnie comes in and asks if Roxy’s been in. Phil tells her, “no, it’s just me and James Bland over there.” He wonders if there is anything wrong. She tells him no
Max tells Tanya she’s making a fool out of herself. Next thing you know, she’s going to be out with toddlers. Tanya tells Max that is more his style. He asks her if she and Sean have kissed and made up? She smiles and walks over to Sean.
Ian tells Clare that dinner is almost ready. She’s sitting on the couch and tells him to come to join her. Her robe is opened, and Ian warns her about it. She tells him most blokes wouldn’t have done that. But he’s such a gentleman. Ian is nervous and sits as far from Clare as he can. Ian tells her that he is going to go set the table, then she can show him what she does. Clare puts her hand on Ian’s leg and tells him, “Bad boys…” She continues that they are all she attracts, just like her ex. Ian tells her he’s going to get the plates. Clare goes on to say he took what he wanted and then ditched her for her best friend. She starts to fake sob. Ian looks scared to death.
Bungle is pouring booze into his orange juice as he tells Darren he didn’t really think he was going to spend the night not drinking. Max walks over and takes the bottle off of him. They get into it with words. Max tells him he can leave. Jane says she can’t believe Max had the never to show up. Tanya tells Jane she can handle him. Sean comes to grab Tanya much to Max’s dismay. She places her drink down and walks away to Sean. Sean gives her a heart pendant necklace. She is surprised and tells him she told him not to. He tells her it’s not much, but he had to get her something. He wants her to put it on, and she says not now. Max watches. He turns and pours a generous amount of vodka in her glass. She walks and grabs her drink. She walks over to Max and tells him she can’t believe he’s still there. He tells her he’ll always be there because his blood runs through the kid’s veins. Abi comes to bring him up to see marge. Tanya takes a drink and asks Jane what she’s put in it?
Clare continues crying as she details her story to Ian. She tells him she’s sorry as he’s come to talk business and she’s boring him with her personal business. She says she’s a mess. He tells her when he looks at her; he doesn’t see a mess. He tells her he sees a young, beautiful, energetic woman. She goes in for a kiss, and the door slams as Bradley is home. Ian jumps up off the couch and says he’s got to go. Bradley, though drunk, takes the scene in. Clare asks Ian about the dinner. Ian says she and Bradley can enjoy it! Clare seems pleased with her performance.
Ronnie is leaving another voicemail for Roxy. She tells her she’s sorry she shouted earlier. She reckoned Roxy’s drunk too many cocktails and pulled some bloke. Ronnie asks Roxy to call her and let her know she’s okay.
Jack pulls up and stops. Roxy screams for help. Jack tells her no one is going to hear her. She asks him what he wants? He tells her all he wants is an apology. She says she won’t. He gets into his car to leave, and she yells, alright! Roxy apologizes. Jack tosses the handcuff keys behind the car, gets in, and drives off. She screams after him.
Tanya is drunk and searching for a cd to play. She starts dancing as Ian comes in. He wonders how much Tanya has had to drink. Sean tells them she’s allowed to have a good time as it’s her birthday. Sean goes up to her and tells her to take it easy. She pulls him into dancing with her. Peggy mentions they look close. Chelsea says that Tanya wouldn’t be interested in SEan. Peggy points out to Chelsea that she was. Chelsea smirks down on her. Max and the girls come in to witness Tanya and Sean take a fall. Tanya asks Sean, “what are you doing down there, eh, loverboy?” Max tells the girls to go get their stuff and Oscar as they are going back to his for the night. Abi asks what about her mum. Max tells her she’s had too much to drink. Back inside, Jane and Sean try to get Tanya to stop. She tells them it’s a party and to liven up. Peggy says she’s certainly providing the entertainment. Max leaves with the kids.
