Bradley picks up a card. He turns, and the bell rings. He opens the door to see Stacey there.
Tanya comes in and turns the radio off and opens a card from Sean. She tells the girls that Valentine’s Day is a ripoff. Abi asks if they have to talk today? Tanya explains to the girls nothing; they don’t speak in court today. She explains to them the lawyers talk and lay out the facts and maybe even watch a DVD. Abi is surprised that she has a copy. Tanya explains to her she’s already made another copy to give to the attorney. Lauren asks if they are going to play the wedding DVD in court? Tanya tells her they will, and even her father can’t wiggle out of concrete proof. Max reads a card from Abi, wishing him luck as he prepares to leave.
Bradley is making tea and chats with Stacey about her stall on the market. He tells Stacey times a little tight and wonders if there is something he can do for her? Stacey tells him she hasn’t been very well and was in the hospital. She tells him she thought she could post the card and leg it but she couldn’t. Stacey explains to Bradley she wanted to see where he lived. Stacey hands him a card like they used to laugh about a few years ago. Bradley asks her if she’s started taking sugar because he’s out of it. She says she just wants to talk to him. Bradley tells her there isn’t anything new to say well, then he’s sorry, but he really doesn’t want to talk to her.
Mo wonders where all the romance has gone. In her day, men were men and women were women. There was an air of mystery. A bloke was rushing out to buy a posh box of chocs. Nowadays, girls got to buy their own organic, nut-free box! That’s killed romance gone dead. Blimey Charlie, she says, you’ve perked up. Mo smells Charlie’s aftershave and offers him a box of chocolates for a discount. She tells him to bring his bird round. He won’t respond and leaves.
Stacey tells Bradley how it was her mum is the one that gave her the piece of advice. Bradley asks her if there is anything else? Stacey tells him she had to see him, talk to him. Stacey thinks about him nonstop, wonders what ring tone he has, what he’s doing. She can’t help it. She looks Bradley in the eyes and tells him she misses him.
Abi and Lauren are getting ready for school. Tanya yells up for them to hurry up. Abi wonders if there is anything they can do to help bring their parents back together. Abi asks Lauren if she thinks they could have stopped Stacey and their dad? Lauren tells her not to cry.
Bradley thanks Stacey for coming. He tells Stacey how she feels; it’s her problem, not his. Stacey tells him, ok. He tells her he does remember the husband and wife cards. He says she said she’d never buy anything that naff. She tells him he should look inside. He says no. Stacey tells him to give them some credit. She lets it slip that his mum gave her his address. He is shocked his mum gave her his address. Stacey tells him that she just wanted to talk, just them to see. Stacey tells him that Rachel said that he wouldn’t go, and he’d already seen the sights of London. Stacey tells him that she found tickets to a Dr. Who Convention online. Bradley is surprised. She tells him she spent her own money on the tickets and details the events of the day. She turns to leave, and a girl comes down the stairs and asks Bradley, “where’s the tea sweetheart? I thought you were bringing it up!” Stacey is shocked. She apologizes and leaves.
Charlie arrives at the cemetery with a large bouquet of flowers.
Lorraine tells Bradley not to keep secrets! Gilly comes down, asking about the tea. The two girls start to bicker, and Bradley gets up to leave. He heads out and finds the ticket in his pocket.
Harriet’s assistant hurries up the stairs to bring her coffee to her. Harriet tells her, “one thing! I asked you to do one thing.” Moria starts to apologize. Harriet reminds her that she had a straightforward task, and she couldn’t do it. She tells Moria that there are several girls who would be too pleased to work for her. Harriet starts to drink the coffee and berates her for putting sugar in her coffee. Moria looks back, and Max and he smiles at her.
Charlie brings the flowers to his best girl, Viv, and tells her Happy Valentine’s Day. He sees her grave marker graffitied. Charlie whispers that he hopes she gives them an earful when they have their eyes shut. He tells Viv he’d do anything for one more squeeze of her hand. He talks to her, and Mo sneaks upon him. She tells him she wishes she’d have known he was coming. Mo says she’d have brought another cloth. He says that he can’t even take care of Viv and she’s always in the same place.
Tanya and Harriet discuss the terms of her divorce and the cause. Tanya is adamant that the reason is listed as adultery. It turns out the DVD is missing, and Tanya is furious. Harriet ensures that the employee will be dealt with. Tanya tells her to call witnesses as she wasn’t the only one that had to sit through watching that. Harriet tells her that Max can drag this on and spend her out of her money. She asks Tanya if Max is an unreasonable man? Tanya knows she’s right.
Bradley is fuming at his mum. He doesn’t understand why she would give Stacey his address! Rachel tells him she gave it to her because she knows how unhappy he was. Her mobile rings. She says to Bradley she’s sorry, and maybe she should have warned him. She tells him she knows how miserable he is and how he has refused to even go on dates with her friend’s daughters. She explains to Bradley that while she hates Stacey for what she did to him, she loathes his father more. She tells Bradley maybe she was wrong, but she knows what it’s like to be a wife dismissed.
Harriet addresses the court. She details that the application is made on the grounds of adultery. She tells the court that her client may be willing to change the petition to unreasonable behavior if the divorce is unchallenged. Max’s attorney tells the court they know nothing of it. She goes on to detail that whilst Max was engaged in an affair with Stacey Branning, an 18-year-old girl; he failed to pick his daughter up from school. His daughter Abi was subsequently hit by a car and broke her arm. Max leans in to whisper to his attorney.
Bradley tells Rachel he’s angry at her interference. He tells his mum that he doesn’t feel anything for Stacey any more, and it’s over. He says he hates them both. He says Stacey is not going to turn up and screw everything up for him again. He tells his mum he feels nothing for her.
Harriet continues with the journey they took to Spain and then having to move back for Max’s mental health. She goes on to tell the court that upon his return, he was able to reestablish his affair with this much younger woman, who by this time was not just the girlfriend but the fiance of his son. The head of the court looks up in shock and disbelief. Harriet continues by detailing how Max deliberately ruined family events to include the birthday party she put together for him. The worst was that Max convinced Tanya beyond her instinct to have his baby. Max grumbles, “come on.”
Charlie and Mo clean up Viv’s grave marker. Mo tells him how they never had anything when Viv was small. She tells the story of how Jimmy, Mo’s husband, became Viv’s stepdad.
Max’s attorney demands that the present petition be withdrawn if Ms. Branning wishes to change the cause. The court agrees with him. Max mumbles, and Tanya responds. The court tells her to be quiet, or he’ll postpone the hearing. Tanya can’t help herself and continues to speak out against Max and how he’s over there sighing and muttering, but she can’t talk. The court tells her to stop, as does her attorney. Tanya looks at Max and tells him to admit what he’s done and who he is. She can’t help herself and gets up to attack Max.
Mo tells Charlie that it was a relief when Jimmy passed because of the fighting to get the drugs he needed. Mo tries to convince Charlie that he needs to move on. He tells her that there has always only been one woman for him. She tells him yes until death does you part. She works on convincing him to be her personal project.
Rachel tries to convince Bradley to give Stacey the love letter he carries around, or he buys her the best Valentine’s present, and they go forward. She tells him he is not making a move to move on by not making a decision. Rachel tells him she’s giving you a chance to move on. All you have to do is decide.
Stacey is walking up to the Dr. Who event and looks around.
Harriet calms Tanya down. She tells Tanya they may have to wait another month for a new hearing. Harriet tells Tanya that her kicking Max’s lawyer may go on his unreasonable behavior list.
Stacey is looking around watching for Bradley.
Max walks up to Tanya, and she tells him to sod off. She asks him what he wants? Why can’t she let her go? He grabs her and tells her he can’t. Tanya tells him he can’t play her anymore. Max tells her that they can have it all together again. Or she can be alone drinking her wine. Tanya calls him arrogant. He tells her he still loves her, and she knows it. Max says he is sorry. He tells her they can have it all again. Tanya slaps him and walks off. Max is still sitting there when Moria, Harriet’s assistant, comes back with another water. Max tells her she’s gone. He says she looks like she could do with some wine. He stands up and hands her 480 pounds and says he’ll buy lunch and she can buy the wine. They walk off together.
Stacey is about to leave and tear up her ticket, but Bradley runs up, calling out to her. She’s excited he came. They head into the exit, not realizing it. Bradley tells her he’s got something for her. She asks him what it is? He tells her to open it and find out.
