Billy is somewhat cranky with Honey as she laments over the broken vase. She asks Billy what is Pat going to say? He snips at her that he doesn’t know, but it can’t be any worse than her asking 1500 million times what is Pat going to say? Honey is upset, and he apologizes. She says she’s not angry she’s just worried what is Pat going to say? He tells her he’ll get glue and fix it. He asks her if he’s ever let her down. Honey stares at him.
Mo is helping Dawn repair her shoes. Dawn is holding the broken heals. She tells Mo she doesn’t know which one to choose. Meanwhile, Garry is filling Minty in on Dawn slamming the door in both his and Jase’s face. Garry compares it to Manchester United and Jase being a fan. Minty sticks up for Jase a bit. Garry is not happy. Back and The Slater’s Mo tells Dawn she knows Garry as she was practically, almost his mom. Dawn tells Mo she just wishes she had a sign. Mo starts to tell her she is just getting ready to do her tarot cards and the doorbell rings. It’s Jase looking for Dawn. Dawn perks up.
Jane asks Peter if she is still in the doghouse. He says she is not. Jane asks him what would be better food to serve his mates next time? Peter tells her he doubts there will even be the next time. Jane goes in to talk to Ian and complains about Peter, and he’s got a funny look on his face. She wonders what is going on. He asks her if she has anything to tell him. Jane is confused. Ian pulls out the invitation to Christian’s wedding. She explains that she doesn’t want to go. He pushes her and then asks her if its because her brother is gay? She tells him that is not the issue. Ian wants to know why she is so angry. He pushes more to meet them for dinner, and she says no. He keeps pushing, and she tells him that it’s her brother, not his and they should drop it.
Garry is all spiffed up and asks Minty how he looks. He’s armed with super glue and ready. Jase has already repaired her shoes and walked her home. Dawn invites Jase in for coffee, but he turns her down. Garry walks upon the scene at the front door and is disappointed as he sees Dawn blow Jase a kiss and misinterprets what he’s seeing as them having spent the night together. Billy walks up to Garry and asks him if he might have some super glue. Billy is freaked out when Garry hands him the super glue from his pocket.
Peggy offers to make a nice meal for Phil’s birthday. He’s wondering since when has she ever made a fuss over his birthday in his adult years? Peggy tells him she just thought it would be nice. While they are discussing what she might prepare, the girls start to argue. Ronnie tells Roxy not to look at her that way. Roxy tells Ronnie that she is just jealous. Ronnie walks in and grabs the cereal, and Peggy asks her what is going on. Peggy wonders if it has to do with the fellow Roxy had a date with the night before. Ronnie pips back that she doesn’t want to talk about it. Peggy pushes and asks if it has to do with Jack. Ronnie replies that it does not. Ronnie declares that it’s not a fellow; it’s their Dad. Peggy responds, “Archie?” Ronnie tells Peggy and Phil that it’s a bad idea and every time he whistles she runs off like a puppy dog and it’s all going to end in a mess that she will have to clean up.
Mo is peddling clothes, and Garry walks up. She tries to sell him the shirt for a discount on account that they used to be family. He tells her he’s having a terrible day. Mo tells him he needs to come to the community center later as she’s doing the Tarot cards. He could come to find out what his future is. Garry walks away, and Mo calls out to him that he needs to smarten himself up so he can get the girl!
Billy repairs the lamp and tells Honey he can’t get over Garry having the glue in his pocket. He fixes the lamp but turns on the light so he can put the last piece in. He’s well pleased with himself and heads off to work. Honey asks him to turn off the light so William can sleep. He tries to switch the light off, but the switch is stuck to on because he had glue on his fingers. Honey worries what Pat is going to say. He tells her he’ll fix it tonight.
Garry is in the cafe and Heather comes in to meet Hazel. Hazel tells her she’s selected Country and Western for the wedding theme. Hazel tells Heather not to mention it to Minty as he hates Country and Western so they’ll call it a Line-Dancing wedding. Heather motions to ask Garry but Hazel says no way with that face on.
Lucy comes in and tells Jane that they all want to go to the wedding. She asks her why she doesn’t want to go. Ian, Steven, and Peter discuss it all. Ian is worried that word will get out, and everyone will think they aren’t going because of them being gay. He eventually tells the boys that it’s hard to bring someone back into the family after a falling out, but it’s worth it in the end. He picks up the phone to make a call.
Mickey asks Dawn why she’s having a hard time deciding who to choose. Mickey tells her to go with Jase since he fixed her shoes. She wonders why he made an excuse when she invited him in for coffee. Mickey then says she should choose Garry because he would have said yes. Mickey tells her that if he was to give her his opinion, she should choose Garry. Garry is dependable and romantic. Dawn is just not sure.
Garry comes storming in the garage and complains to Minty that Jase spent the night at hers and he saw them saying goodbye. Garry is angry that Jase must have snuck back over after she slammed the door in their faces. He’s upset, and Minty tries to calm him down, but Garry is too tightly wound. Minty tells him there are more fish in the sea, and it might be time for him to give up on this one. Garry ask him if his mum is available then? Minty tells him his mum has been gone for 15 years. Garry says at least she can’t break his heart.
Billy is still freaked out over Garry having the glue in his pocket. Mickey overhears as he is telling Mo about it. Mickey asks if Garry was standing outside their gaff? Billy is even more freaked out that Mickey knew that. Mickey sees Minty walk across towards the cafe and tells Mo he’ll have to risk one of her curses for not buying a shirt. Dawn is walking nearby plucking flower petals asking if it is Garry or Jase she should select.
Minty walks into the cafe and Hazel tells him all about their line-dancing wedding. He’s not thrilled at all. Heather is excited!
Garry is sulking in the Arches when Phil walks in. Phil explains to him that it works like this: “I pay you, and you do work to earn that pay. The faster you begin to understand it, the better we’ll get on. ” Garry tells Phil he’s having a really bad day. Phil wonders if he’s having a bad day does that mean he doesn’t have to pay Garry? Minty comes rushing back in and tells Garry that Jase didn’t stay round there last night. He’s just spoken to Mickey, and he’s filled him in. Garry perks up. Minty explains that Jase was just dropping off the shoes he repaired. Minty tells Garry he has a chance. Garry goes running to Dawn, and Phil stops him and tells him to get to work.
Mo is still peddling the red shirts and tries to get Peggy to purchase one. Peggy tells her no. Mo continues until Peggy agrees. Peggy walks over to Ronnie, and she tells her no way is she wearing that. She reminds Peggy she doesn’t work there anymore.
Billy is taking the switch cover off of the light switch. Honey is holding a candle so he can see as he’s “shut off” the power. Honey wonders why all the wires are hanging out of the panel box. Billy declares that he knows what he is doing and he’s nearly done.
Mo is preparing to go to the community center to read tarot cards. Mickey and Garry convince her, with a purchase of a red shirt, to read Dawn’s cards and push her towards Garry.
Roxy feels desexualized in her red t-shirt. Peggy reckons the punters will quit oogaling her and spend more time drinking beer. Peggy convinces her to do it for one night so she can tell Mo she tried. Peggy also requests that Roxy make up with her sister. Roxy wonders why she has to make the first move all the time. Peggy tells Roxy that, while it’s been a long time since she last saw Archie, he was never the most reliable person and Ronnie might be right. Roxy quips that it’s just because he loves her and she loves him. Ronnie jumps in and screams that it has nothing to do with it. It will be a long time until Roxy sees him again and he’ll only come back when his ego needs massaging. Peggy tells them both to pack it in. She asks Ronnie to tell her what she thinks of the t-shirt. Ronnie and Roxy continue to fight. Roxy yells at Ronnie to just tell Peggy. Peggy wonders what Roxy is talking about, but Roxy declares it has to come from Ronnie.
Mickey is in the cafe with Dawn. She laments that she’s not accomplished anything all day and doesn’t know who to select. She tells him that Garry would be the sensible choice, and would make a good Dad for Summer. But she doesn’t fancy him like she fancies Jase. Mickey tells her that fancying someone wears off. Besides she should keep what she said about Summer front of mind. She needs a good Dad. He tells her that he just saw Mo and she’s heading off to read Tarot cards and maybe she could do that for Dawn. Dawn runs off to give it a go.
In the Pub, Peggy asks Minty what he thinks of the new uniforms. He wonders out loud if that is what they are? Peggy says, yeah they are. He says they are ok. Peggy tells Phil that Minty likes them. Phil tells her when she wears on he will. Hazel and Heather fill Minty in on the new idea for the wedding. Dracula and the Bride of Frankenstein. Minty is not excited about that and bumps into Jase, who spills his beer over himself. Jase is upset and demands Minty give him a clean shirt. Phil tosses him the red t-shirt.
Garry is getting ready to go out and puts on his redshirt.
Mo is reading Dawn’s cards. Mo convinces her that the man of her dreams will be in the pub wearing a red shirt. Dawn runs off. Garry is in the pub with Mickey wondering why Dawn isn’t there yet. He heads to the bathroom and tells Mickey when he comes back he’ll stand at the bar to be noticed easily.
Minty and Hazel continue to discuss ideas, and she leads into the line-dancing. Minty protest and Hazel talk him round.
Billy replaces all the wires and turns everything back on. Nothing happens. He turns the switch to the lights on, and the television pops on. Honey wonders what he’s done! Billy says he knows what the problem is. He turns on the radio, and the lights come on. She wonders how they’ll listen to the radio. He flips a switch outside the room, and the radio comes on.
Dawn comes into the pub and sees Jase in the red shirt. She walks up and kisses him. Garry comes out and sees them. He’s devastated. Minty sees it and agrees to whatever Hazel wants and takes off after Garry. Garry is gutted and doesn’t think he can take anymore. Minty tells him that he has him and he won’t leave him. Garry is visibly in pain. They overhear Honey ask Billy how to turn the bedroom light on, and he tells her to try the bathroom fan.
The Bealle’s are all sitting down to dinner when Jane senses something is going on. She wants to know if he’s done what she thinks he’s done. Has he invited Christian to dinner? Ian says, not exactly. She tells him he has no idea what he’s done. They all look shocked and guilty.
