Dawn and Shabnam are discussing the marketing event happening at the club tonight. Dawn whinges about having to work. Steven comes in mid-conversation. They are talking about Jase. Dawn says she’s entirely over him. Steven comes in with job applications.
Peggy is a bit miffed about Ronnie taking her punters for the night. Ronnie tells her that they aren’t the Vic’s normal target. She invites Peggy to come over, half-off drinks family special for her. Ronnie says Roxy can look after the bar. Roxy says she has a date for dancing, boating, dinner, her choice. Ronnie knows who she’s texting and isn’t pleased. Roxy says she doesn’t get to see him very often. Ronnie says, “confirmed by text. Such a personal touch.”
Jane picks up the post and finds a post addressed to Leslee and Ian Beale. Ian comes in and stretches after his run. Jane points out that it might be him that needs the training, not Peter. She sends him off to the shower. She opens the post and tosses it in the trash.
Ronnie and Jack are reviewing the evening event with Jase and Dawn. They inform them that they have hired some professional staff for the night as well. Dawn says if she’s not working she’ll enjoy the evening and maybe a rich man will buy her a drink. Ronnie informs her that she is working and she’ll be on the loo and cloakroom. Dawn is not pleased and protest.
Heather is in the laundrette listening to George Michael. Keith comes in with Summer and their laundry. Garry comes in bringing what Keith has dropped out on the sidewalk, including Dawn’s bra. Keith jokes about how quick he was to pick up on the scent. Garry notices Heather ironed his overalls. She tells him he’s got to look his best always.
Dawn is still whinging about the way Ronnie and Jack talked to her. She says she’s not going to meet the man of her dreams in the toilet. Jase finds the earring she lost. They flirt, and then he tells her to wash her hair before she comes in as it’s been dipped in the cleaner from the toilet.
Honey and Gus both reach for the game Twister at the same time. Gus says she can have it as she has kids. She turns to see Roxy at the fruit and veg stall. Roxy tells Billy, “let’s get fruit!” as Honey walks up. Roxy reminds him it’s for the pub, lemons, and limes! Roxy points out they haven’t seen them since they moved out. They didn’t even come in for a drink. Honey says they figured it would give everyone a bit of personal space. Roxy replies that they were all on top of one another. Billy tells Roxy they can come in for a quickie later. Honey says they can have a quiet night in. Roxy says she won’t be there since as she’s going out. Honey is excited for her.
Ronnie fits up Jase in the new suit she got him. Dawn is angry that he’s gotten a new suit. Dawn leaves to find a proper outfit and an assistant to help her for the night. Jack notices something is going on with Ronnie.
Out on the market, Dawn and Shabs look for something that will be appropriate. Mo offers to show her the private collection. Dawn is not having her knock offs and says she may need to borrow from Shabs. Mo wonders how many high fliers will want to take on a new family. Garry, he says he knows he wouldn’t mind.
Garry is searching for something as Hazel and Garry come in all lovey-dovey. He finds the ring and slips it in his pocket. He hurries out, and Hazel wonders what he’s up to. Minty wonders if it is him finally accepting them. Hazel is thrilled. Minty gives her the magazine in his pocket. She spies their biggest contest competition in it. Heather calls her and asks if she’s seen it. They discuss how they are going to come up with an unbeatable them.
Dawn asks Keith to babysit. He tells her about all the film he’s off to see. She’s frustrated as she isn’t sure who will watch Summer. Garry comes in and hands her money just for her. She’s well pleased and asks him what he’s doing tonight. She wrangles him into helping at the club. Garry isn’t sure about it all. Dawn is happy as a lark. She goes to the market and Mo offers her the good stuff again. Heather comes and grabs a jacket out of her Mo’s hands.
Ronnie finally explains to Roxy how she got Billy out! Roxy is grossed out but happy nonetheless. Peggy comes in and finds Roxy dressed to the nines for her night out. Roxy explains they are making a day and night of it. Ronnie tells her she can come to the club if it turns out to be a disappointment. Roxy says it won’t be. Peggy ask if this one is that bad? Ronnie declares he is the bottom of the barrel.
Heather is dressed in a suit, hat, and sunglasses. Garry has a go at Heather and how she has no clue about what marriage and love are all about. It’s about love and commitment and being there for one another. Not about costumes and gimmicks. Heather heads back to work dejected. Hazel wonders what is going on with Garry. He explains he sold the engagement ring he bought for Dawn when he was in Brighton. He doesn’t want her to know that is where the money he gave her came from. He tells Hazel about the work share at the club tonight. Hazel wonders why he is torturing himself. Hazel tells him she wishes Dawn could see how much he cares.
Jane has gone all out preparing healthy foods for Peter. Ian insults her by saying it’s not healthy at all. Jane gets mad and dumps a tray of food in the bin. Ian scolds her for not putting it in the right bin. Peter and Steven wisely get out of the kitchen. Jane tells him if he can do better then go ahead. He digs out the invite from the bin and wonders why she chucked it out.
Garry arrives for work, and Jack tells him it’s a nice suit. Dawn walks in, and Ronnie tells her she isn’t meant to show her up. Jase points out it will be wasted in the toilets. Ronnie says he has a point and she’s to take her breaks and speed date as many men as she can to get them to buy her drinks. Garry isn’t pleased. Jack asks Ronnie if she wants to play it single and see who can get more money spent on them tonight.
Billy whispers and asks if the kids are asleep. Honey hoping for a quiet romantic evening in except she heard the door maybe? Gus and Minty come in, and Gus is excited to play Twister. Honey is not happy.
Dawn walks up to greet Shabs and Garry. Shabs loves her dress. Dawn says it’s compliments of a very generous friend. Two men walk in and wonder what careers they are in. Shabs says her friend is in personal grooming, a hygiene therapist. The men say they will definitely see them inside. Garry isn’t happy. Shabs wonders if he wants to be her friend. Garry tells her he has enough female friends. Shabs tells him in her culture he’d have been matched up and married by now. Garry says what? The safe, secure option? Girls don’t want to go for that then. Shabs meets one of the men in the loo, and he wants Shabs to tell him more.
Ronnie is doing shots with a man while Jack does them with a woman. Shabs and Dawn dance with the two guys as Garry and Jase stare unhappily at the scene.
Minty, Gus, Billy, and Honey are playing Twister, and Billy is not happy with it. He tells them to take a break.
Ronnie is pleased with Dawn’s performance. Jase comes and asks her to dance.
The game of Twister gets tangled up, and Honey is happy with the fun they are having.
At the club, Garry brings Dawn’s phone to her. She reckons, it’s Keith. She tells Jase she has to go in a minute. He spots the blokes she and Shabs were dancing with, putting drugs in their drinks. He walks over and kicks them out. They question him, and he explains he can search them there or they can leave. Jack comes over and kicks them out. Jase hands the drinks to Ronnie, and she compliments him on the catch. Dawn thinks he wasn’t after her; he was just doing his job. Dawn goes to Garry and complains that she can’t do this anymore, it’s too hard, and she keeps picking the wrong guys. Garry tells her he likes her just as she is. She wonders why others can’t see her the way he does. He says because they are mugs. He knows she doesn’t feel the way he does about her, but he would take care of her and keep them safe. She is confused and tells him she has to go. Garry feels dejected again. She tells him she’ll never meet another man like him.
Billy is pouting on the sofa about the game. Honey reminds him he is the one who invited them over. Billy wishes he hadn’t. Honey snuggles up to him. She tells him that she bought TTwister because she was feeling progressive (meaning possessive). They play TTwister, break a lamp, and make out.
Outside of the club, Jase fixes Dawn’s broken heal. Dawn says one is not going to do her any good. Jase tells her those blokes spiked her drink. She thanks him. They are getting close when Garry walks up and says “never say never” and holds up her other shoe.
