Jack looks up at the Vic, and Ronnie is watching him. She quickly shuts the curtain.
Abi is talking to Rainie and tells her she never knew she was her Auntie; she always thought she was her mum’s friend. Abi asks if she’s there to see Oscar? Lauren comes into the room, and Rainie asks where her mum is. Lauren tells Rainie that she is having a lie-in. Abi wonders if Rainie is there to look after their mum. Rainie asks if she needs looking after?
Ian is lining the kids and Jane up for a family photo. He puts Steven right next to Jane. The look on her face is none too pleased to be standing next to him. Ian calls for Lucy to hurry up. Ian tells Lucy it is just like her to oversleep. She complains it’s because Bobby kept her up all night. Lucy wonders why they are taking the photo now. They are all complaining about how long it’s taking when the camera goes off. It’s a silly photo and they all laugh.
Rainie is cleaning, and Tanya stops her. Rainie tells her she remembers why she hates housework. Tanya wonders why she is still here. Rainie tells her she figured out what was going on and Tanya confirms it. Tanya tells her that whatever she’s after she’s wasting her time. Rainie disagrees and tells her that is not why she’s there. Tanya asks if she’s run out of the money she’s given her. Rainie tells her she deserved that and gets up to grab an envelope with cash. She tells Tanya to count it if she doesn’t trust her, it’s all there. Tanya looks at the money is amazed.
Chelsea and Yolande are walking into the square. Chelsea asks Yolande for some money that Denise left for them. Yolande wonders what she might need. Chelsea tells her that she needs to make up. Yolande tells Chelsea that it is not a necessity. Chelsea thinks differently. Yolande tells Chelsea that it might be time for her to start looking for a job.
Libby is chatting with Darren about him giving up working at the car lot. He reminds her that she told him he could stand there on the car lot, but it doesn’t change anything. Kevin is gone. Libby tells him he has to remember the good things as it’s how she copes. She asks him to come back to school. He tells her no. She tells him he’s got to do something, and he loved the car lot. Darren tells her he doesn’t love it anymore.
Rainie and Tanya are in the kitchen. Rainie is holding a photo of the Oscar and tells Tanya that Oscar looks like Max. Tanya thanks Rainie for the money. Rainie points out to Tanya that she witnessed her stumble out of the pub in a state and that ain’t like her. She asks Tanya to tell her whats going on. Tanya tells her that they all have their moments. Rainie pushes her to tell her what is going on. Tanya tells her if she really wants to know he’s been having it off with a girl half his age, who also happens to be his daughter-in-law. Happy now?
Vince calls up to Shirley. He tells Shirley that he can see she’s home. She comes to the window and smiles. He calls up “hello beautiful! You going to let me in?” Shirley walks away, and he’s happy thinking she’s coming to let him in. Instead, she comes back with a bucket of water and dumps it on him.
Tanya tells Rainie that Max completely betrayed her. Rainie calls Max a git. Tanya lets her know it’s ok, it’s over now, and she’s over it. Rainie wonders if she is. It’s a good thing I turned up when I did. Rainie offers to help Tanya. Tanya reminds her that the last time she was in her kitchen, she caught her shooting up. Rainie swears she is clean now. Tanya tells Rainie she’d rather her leave.
Ronnie’s phone rings off the hook. Phil goes to grab it, and Ronnie comes in and answers the phone. Jack wants to know why she’s walking away from her business. She hangs up. Phil looks at her and says he’s glad she has her priorities straight.
Tanya is carrying the diaper bag to the door with Rainie yelling that she is clean now. Tanya tells her if she had a penny for every time she’s heard that. Rainie tells her she isn’t saying it’s easy, but it’s the truth. Tanya wonders what she would know about the truth? Rainie tells her that she kept seeing the disappointed look on Tanya’s face and entered a treatment program and stayed the course. Tanya starts to protest. Rainie says to Tanya, “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done! It would be so easy to give in, but I wanted a normal life to do normal things. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I’ve got my life back.” Tanya isn’t sure. Rainie offers to be an Auntie and a good sister for a change. It will keep her out of trouble.
Vince is in with Heather at the laundrette. Heather says he’s lucky it wasn’t a brick. She wonders why he let her think he was loaded. He says he wasn’t trying to trick her. Once he started falling for her, he was going to come clean about it all. Heather wonders why he didn’t. Vince tells her he was about to when Richie boy turned up, and all hell broke loose.
Hazel tells Tanya she didn’t know she had a sister. Rainie is snuggling Oscar. Tanya replies, “didn’t I?” Hazel says it’s nice. Her and Garry close ranks if anyone has a go no matter if they aren’t getting along. Close ranks and stand solid that is what families are for.
Shirley is on the phone yelling, “what emergency?” She runs out of the pub, and Roxy calls after her. Keith is there chatting with Max about the state of Tanya the night before. Max uses it to say, “and she tells me I should keep away from the kids.” Roxy chastises Keith and tells Max to leave Tanya alone. Max protest and says he has a right to know whats going on. Roxy tells him that unfaithful husbands have that effect on women. Max tries to explain she hasn’t got a clue. Roxy interrupts him and asks if he’s a Branning. She wouldn’t trust him as far as she could throw him.
Shirley comes into the laundrette. She calls out for Heather. Vince walks. Shirley is angry with Heather. He tells her that he would like her to hear him out and if she is done with him after he’ll leave her alone.
Max walks into the shop and asks Tanya how her head is? She says it’s fine. He tells her he had a little chat with Keith Miller about her state last night. Tanya reminds him that it’s none of his business anymore. Max smugly replies that his kids are his business and what she does effects them. He tells her if she is incapable of taking care of them. Tanya smirks. Rainie comes round the corner with a sleeping baby Oscar. Max wonders what she’s doing there. Rainie tells him she’s looking after his family like he should have been instead of getting a leg up. Max turns to Tanya and Rainie interrupts and tells him she’s right there. He asks Tanya if the junkie is taking care of his kids now. He’s not having it and doesn’t want her within 10 feet of his kids. Rainie tells him he’s never been good enough for her sister. She tells him to get out. He smiles and walks away.
Vince is trying to open Shirley’s biscuits. He tells her that if she’d known he was potless, she wouldn’t have paid attention to him. She says it is not about what you have or don’t have. It’s about the fact that he lied. He calls her out of the faked neck brace injury. She tells him it wasn’t a lie because he hit her with his car. He tells her he was going to tell her the truth. He begs her to give him a chance. She tells him she has to go back to work. He tells her that he has feelings for her, and she has feelings for him. He tells her that he needs to be with her. Shirley is facing the door and softens but tells Heather to open the door. He makes a deal with her to meet him at the tube station at 7:30 and if she doesn’t show he won’t bother her again. Shirley turns and says she has to get back to work. Heather comes in and tells him at least she didn’t say no! Vince reminds her that she didn’t say yes either.
Chelsea is looking for a job at the cafe. Jane tells her they aren’t hiring right now. Steven jumps in and says they may have something for the night shift, but it would be quiet and lonely. Chelsea tells him she isn’t looking for a night job. Steven replies that it is better than nothing. Chelsea says no thanks. Chelsea leaves in her usual huff. Jane chastises Steven for interfering when it’s not up to him to offer jobs, especially after she’s said no.
Jack walks into the cafe, and Ronnie sees him. She prepares to leave, and he asks if she can’t stand to breathe the same air as him. She gets up, and he tells her that he knows he’s made a mistake by getting involved and he would wish missing out on watching your kid grow up and all. He wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Ronnie softens to him.
Max is on the phone about the kids. He tells them he needs to talk to someone about them being in danger.
Chelsea is in the pub getting a drink. Roxy says she knew she was a teetotaller inside. Yolande walks in and says she thought she saw Chelsea walking this way. Chelsea holds up her newspaper and says that Patrick told her she could pay for it later. Yolande says don’t be silly, and you might find this more useful and hands Chelsea job adverts. Chelsea tells her she’s just been in the cafe asking for a job. Yolande asks her if it’s too downmarket for her? Chelsea tells Yolande no, it’s for the night cafe and I’ve got a stupid curfew to don’t I! Chelsea wonders how she’ll handle her ankle bracelet at job interviews. Works well in confined spaces? She smirks at Yolande. Yolande tells her that she can work shifts in the Minut Mart for the time being. Chelsea is not thrilled.
Shirley lets Heather know she can’t believe she stitched her up like that. Heather tells her it was the only way. Shirley wonders whose side she is on? Heather tells Shirley she’s on her side. But he is still there, and he cares for her. Shirley walks away. Heather apologizes because she didn’t mean anything about Kevin in that statement.
Libby and Darren are walking when they spy Keith trying to sell a car. Darren wonders what he’s doing. Keith is chatting up the potential buyer when Darren interrupts and takes over. Keith walks over to Libby and gives her a wink. She smiles as a thank you.
Ronnie walks into the club, and Jack turns around to see her. She tells him not to worry she’s only there for the Hen party; he does remember, right? He says she’s got it under control he’ll leave her to it.
Steven and Ian are looking at the family photo session results. Jane comes in and suggests that Steven be their new assistant manager. Ian says they don’t have a position for that. Jane says it’s about time they did, and Steven is perfect for it.
Shirley turns to Heather and tells her to stop stalking her. Heather says she is just walking Shirley home. Shirley thinks it’s just to keep banging on in her ear about Vinnie. Heather pulls a George Michael and says she understands as Vinnie is never going to dance again. Shirley tells her not to George Michael her! Heather tells her he loves her, and she only gets this chance with him!
Tanya comes in and sits with Abi. Abi wonders if Auntie Rainie is going to stay with them? Tanya gets up, takes a breath, and walks into the kitchen. She finds Rainie digging in her bag. She assumes the worst. Rainie was only looking for a lighter for her cigarette. Tanya takes a deep breath. Rainie tells her she will take it outside. She knows Tanya doesn’t trust her. Tanya tells her she doesn’t trust anyone these days. Rainie tells Tanya that she needs her and she wants to help her in any way she can. Because Max is going to throw everything at her and she wants to be there to help. Tanya hugs her.
Max is outside looking at the house.
Darren searches for the ball he tossed earlier.
The Hen party arrives, and Ronnie and Jack realize they haven’t got a stripper.
Steven is looking at the photo of the family. He clicks a button, and Jane disappears. He clicks it again, and she is back in the photo. He does this over and over.
Shirley and Heather are looking at outfits as George Michael plays in the background. Shirley is holding a watch. Heather asks what it’s from. Shirley explains that Kevin gave it to her when they first hooked up. Heather tells her to go get her slap on. Vinnie is outside of the tube station, and it’s minutes to 7:30.
Ronnie appeases the Hen party. Jack tries to find a stripper to no avail. He puts his coat on and tells Ronnie he’s sorting it.
Vinne puts the biscuits on the ground and leaves. Shirley comes out all dressed up and realizes she’s late.
Jack has his uniform in a bag and tells Max not to ask.
Darren is in the office crying as he’s lost the ball and looking at it reminded him of Kevin. Keith pulls it out of his pocket and tells him he thought he might want it.
Shirley runs into the tube station but doesn’t find Vinnie but does find the biscuits.
Jack arrives back at the club to find the Hen’s all in an uproar. He tells them to get their seats for the show.
Heather is playing kissy with the bears as Vinnie and Shirley. Shirley walks in, and Heather wonders why she is alone. Shirley says that she often wonders that herself.
The stripper, who might be Jack, is taking his shirt off for the Hen party. Ronnie is amused. Jack walks over, and they toast the success of the party. Neil puts on a good show for the ladies.
Keith and Darren walk home from the car lot. Keith talks about how the rubber bands alone are weak but together, they are strong. Darren stares at the Vic.
Shirley looks at her watch and cries out, “are you laughing up there, Kev?”
Jack is pleased that the party went off so well. Ronnie wonders how he talked Neil into it. He says a little extra pay. Ronnie laughs and says he shouldn’t be using his uniform illegally like that. Jack asks if she’s going to turn him in then. He offers her a private show, and she can wear his hat. She giggles and turns to go. Jack asks her to stay. They kiss.
