Tanya wakes up and rolls over to see Sean holding Oscar. She sees he has fed him. She wonders if the girls saw him. He says that they did not. He says that Oscar has a good appetite and his mum would call him an excellent little trenchman. Tanya tells him that no one can know about this. It has to be their little secret. Tanya tells him she’s going to get the girls their breakfast and when they are banging around, he can let himself out. She says thank you for not pushing her or expecting her to, well, you know. He says she still doesn’t get it does she? She smiles at him and says she’s going to get the girls their breakfast.
Max is sleeping on Jack’s sofa. He hands him tea and tells Max that there are some nice hotels down the road. Jack tells him that he has a perfectly lovely house across the way and if he hadn’t screwed it up royally, he’d still be there. Jack tells Max that he doesn’t care if he stays or goes, but he got himself into this mess so he can shut it.
Bradley’s boss shows up at Dot’s door. She tells him that Bradley prides himself on punctuality. His boss wants to make sure that he’s not bunking off. Dot confirms he’s not. She closes the door then goes to find Bradley in the kitchen. He says that he thinks he had one too many last night. Dot reminds him that he had ten more after that. She helps him get up to get going.
Tanya calls Preeti to speak with her. Tanya lets the girls have their breakfast in the front room and watching cartoons. Sean sneaks by and tries to leave, but the door is locked. He searches for keys to open the door and Abi comes in. He is nowhere to be found, and Tanya is pleased. They go back to the front room, and Sean comes out from underneath the table. He sees the key and lets himself out.
Ronnie wants to cater the food for Kevin’s funeral. Roxy thinks she’s doing it to hack off Ian. Ronnie says, maybe. Roxy wonders how she’s going to do that since she’s sick as a dog. Ronnie tells her it’s her fault as Roxy gave her the dodgy prawns. She noticed Roxy didn’t eat any. Roxy says she never trust prawns. Roxy is going to cook breakfast, and Ronnie goes running.
Sean is sitting in the cafe when Max comes in and sits down. Sean tells him that the seat is taken. Max wonders by who. Sean tells him to give him a minute, and he’ll think of someone. Max says he’d like to provide him with a bit of advice. Sean thinks it’s funny coming from him. Max tells him he’s Tanya will go back to him. Sean laughs and says, really? To the place, you’ve been locked out? Max stares at Sean and leaves.
Libby searches for biscuits that her mum loves. Denise comes in and tells her it’s ok. Kevin was the one who really loved them. Denise says the house is quiet. Pat runs down the list of where everyone is. Denise figures that Carly is off sorting the funeral. Pat tells her that she is. The doorbell rings and Libby goes to answer it. It’s Shirley and Denise is startled to see her. Denise goes with Libby and Pat takes Shirley into the kitchen. Pat scolds Shirley for coming and having Denise have to see her. Shirley tells Pat the police came by again and it’s only a matter of time now.
Keith is giving Darren a lesson on why you should pull the tea bag out before putting in your milk. Darren tells his Dad he doesn’t care about tea bags or anything else he’s been banging on about. Keith says he was trying. Darren tells him he’s not going to be able to make him feel better. He wants to help Libby and for things to go back to the way they were, but they can’t.
Preeti comes in to talk to Tanya. Tanya apologizes for having a go at Preeti. Preeti tells Tanya that it is ok because to be honest she probably would have quit anyway. Preeti tells her it made her realize there has to be something more. Tanya asks if she will reconsider being her manager. Preeti tells her she will think about it.
Dot sees Bradley’s boss yelling at him. Max is walking along, and Abi calls out to him. She asks him if he’s having tea with them today. Max asks her where her mum is. Abi tells him that Tanya had to go to work. She tells him she misses him being at home. He tells her he will have to try to do something about that.
Stacey and Steven are laughing as Bradley is walking by. Bradley is angry and tells her, “allocations.” Max calls out to Jack to tell him he’s moving out. He tells Jack he can enjoy his flat again. Jack tells him he plans on it.
Yolande comes over to discuss food arrangements. Pat explains a few things to her about the car and why they can never tell the police that any of them know about it. Yolande is not happy to be put into this position.
Max comes in to see Tanya. He tells her he’s moving back in and she laughs at him. He wonders what is so funny. She says it is funny because he actually believes what he’s saying. He tells her that they shouldn’t punish the kids because they are fighting. He tells her he knows her better than anyone. He knows they fit. Why should they throw that all away? She agrees with him that he does know her better than anyone, but he’s the one that threw it all away. She informs him that he is not moving back in!
Jack gives Roxy a message for Ronnie. Preeti is telling Mickey about the job Tanya has offered her. Mickey thinks it’s great. Preeti is not sure it’s enough to get her to stay though. Preeti tells him that she needs more than that to stay. She wonders if he has ever longed for something that he really wanted. He tells her he has, donkey kong. Preeti looks at Mickey with utter disappointment and thanks to him. He leaves, and she knows that there is nothing holding her there.
Pat and Shirley discuss the day’s happenings with the Police and Yolande. Shirley tells Pat that the kids and Denise are not the only ones that could get caught up in it. She looks at Phil.
Bradley is walking through the market and kicks the garbage at a stall. The man tells Bradley he’s doing his best! Mickey catches up with Bradley and tells him kindness usually is the best option. Bradley tells him not anymore. You have to look out for number one.
Tanya and Sean are walking, and she fills him in on what Max tried to pull. Tanya tells Sean that she can’t fight him, she’s not strong enough. Sean stops her and asks her: are you ever going to let him take your kids, house or make a mug of you again?” she says no she isn’t. Sean tells her she is strong enough. Tanya runs into Preeti and asks her if she’s thought any more about their conversation. Preeti tells her she feels it’s time to move on.
Darren walks up to Phil as he’s cleaning up outside. He stares at him, and Phil asks him what? Darren turns and leaves. Jack walks up and tells Phil that the police are asking questions about the cars so he should watch his back.
Pat is arguing about with the police about Denise not being available. Pat tells them it has only been two days. They tell Pat they need to talk to her. She reminds them that she is grieving and dealing with the death of her husband. They tell Pat to have her awake tomorrow. Yolande comes in, and Pat tries to get them to leave. They speak with Yolande about the car, and she tells them she doesn’t know anything. They ask if Mr. Wicks ever mentioned anything about the car. Kevin never said a word about anything dealing with the car. They leave but tell Pat they will be back tomorrow.
Max shows up and tells Jack he will need to stay a few more days. Jack tells him no he can’t as he’s made plans.
Roxy gives Ronnie a message from Jack. Ronnie is still ill from the prawns. She tells Roxy she will have to go over.
Tanya is on the phone with an agency. Abi comes running down the stairs telling her that Marge needs her tea. Tanya lets Abi know there are pellets in the cupboard. Abi argues that she needs lettuce. Tanya sends her off for some while she’s on the phone.
Bradley walks up to Stacey and tells her she hasn’t moved her stall. She is leaving him no choice but to pack it all up and shut down. He tells her it’s over. Bradley yells at Steven that he needs to learn some respect. Everyone is looking at them. Stacey tells Bradley that he’s won. She starts packing up when the Market Supervisor comes up, asking what Stacey is doing. Bradley tells him that its nothing. Stacey tells him that Bradley told them to shut it down because of complaints. He tells Stacey Bradley can’t as he sacked him this afternoon due to complaints from store workers. Max watches, and Stacey calls out to Bradley. He says he’s sorry. He says that he just wanted her to notice him. Is that too much to ask? Rachel walks up and tells him it’s not. She lets him know that Dot called her and said that he needed some help. Max watches as Rachel tells him that they will leave tomorrow.
Roxy shows up in Ronnie’s place, but Jack sends her away.
Pat helps Denise. She tells her that she needs to eat. Pat tells Denise that the police are going to ask her some questions. Denise knows it will be about the car. She knows something was right. Pat tells her it was two cars welded together. Denise says it was an accident waiting to happen. Denise apologizes to Yolande as she didn’t know. Yolande tells her she knows. Denise says that Kevin would have been working to make it right. All he ever cared about was her and the kids. Pat says he thought the world of her.
Preeti is heading out and drops her book. A young man picks it up and says, “Preeti?” She says, yeah. He says by name and nature. He asks her where she is heading. She tells him she doesn’t know. He says the same, and they walk off together.
Pat comes to tell Phil he’s in the clear, but it wasn’t for him. It was to protect Denise and the kids. Darren has a go at Phil and tells him this is all his fault. Pat drags him outside and tells him to drop it. This all dies with Kevin for the sake of Denise and the kids. He says that none of this would have happened if it weren’t for Phil. Pat asks him if he plans on taking on Phil and Darren runs off.
Abi, Lauren, Tanya, and baby Oscar are on their way home from dinner. Abi is acting very nervous. She is worried when her mum puts the key in the lock and is relieved it worked. Tanya tells the girls she knows it has been a bit tough lately, but she will make it up to them. Tanya sees Max. Abi says she is going to go upstairs. Max says, “honey, I’m home.”
