Phil is looking at the motors to determine if Jack is right. He discovers the motors are cut and chop. He’s frustrated.
Masood catches Shabnam coming back from the club with Dawn and Carly. Phil walks up to Carly and has a go at her for not being at work. She tells him she’ll be there on time. Phil tells her not to turn up like a tramp. She tells him she’ll be there. Phil, still clearly frustrated about the cars, tells Carly not to bother to show up at all and fires her. Carly yells after him to keep his job.
Tanya wakes up to Lauren, calling for her. Lauren rushes into the front room and shoves a piece of paper in her hands. She tells Tanya that Abi is gone and she’s taken baby Oscar!
Denise and Kevin are walking out of the cafe. She tells Kevin he needs to buy the tickets. Kevin puts her off about it. She tells him if she has to give up a new sofa for it, then she will. Kevin assures her he will do it. Denise pops into the Minut Mart, and Phil grabs Kevin. Phil pulls Kevin into the alley of the pub and tells him he needs to get those cars off the lot. He doesn’t care how Kevin does it, but they need to be gone today.
Bradley puts boxes in front of the Slater’s door and knocks. He goes back to get another box. Stacey opens the door and sees her belongings. Bradley hands her another box and tells her he heard something break. Jean comes to the door and wonders if Bradley is coming in. He tells her no. He then looks at Stacey and tells her if she doesn’t open her pitch she will lose it today.
Yolande and Denise discuss how happy Denise is that Chelsea will be home next week. Denise says she wishes Deano was coming home too. Yolande tells Denise it won’t be long before they are all together, and this is a distant memory. Patrick calls out to Yolande. Denise looks at her and says, “driving lessons?” Yolande tells her it was a Christmas present.
Kevin works to shift the motors.
Shabnam comes home, and Zainab tells her that Dawn is taking advantage of her. Masood says it must have been rough on her being out all night. Shab looks at her Dad. He adds, “like a baby… you were up all night as a baby.” He says she must be tired dancing the night away. Shabs hurries upstairs puzzled by it all.
Max brings Abi and Oscar home to screams from Tanya. Tanya wants to know what the hell he was playing at! Max screams back that Abi was terrified that Tanya was going to leave and take them away. Tanya yells back, “so you just think you can sneak them out of here?” Max insists he was just looking out for them as they just snuck out without her even knowing. Anything could have happened. Abi screams at them to stop shouting. Max tells Abi he’s sorry. Abi tells him she doesn’t want him to go. She cries, and Max comforts her and says he is sorry. Max tells Abi that he and her mum want to sort everything out. He tells her that he will get something sorted and she can come to stay with him. Max tells Tanya he is going to get something close so the kids can come to see him. Tanya says, “how dare you to use her like that!” Max tells her, “what was I supposed to do tell her you wouldn’t let me see her?” Max looks at Tanya and tells her that she will never stop him from seeing his kids. Max leaves, and Tanya goes to Abi, who is hiding under the table. She tries to comfort her but Abi sobs.
Hazel, Heather, and Shirley are talking about what a fun night they are going to have. Vince comes around the corner. He apologizes to Shirley, but she’s playing hard to get.
Peggy wonders if Jack is stringing him along about information. Phil tells her Jack will tell him when he gets information.
Stacey is chucking stuff out, and Steven tries to stop her.
Jack accuses Ronnie of stalking him, playfully. She tells him he should be doing more to help Phil. Jack invites her out for the evening. She turns him down and says she has a date. He wonders with who. She tells him he’s young and sweet.
Bradley sees Jack and asks him for a drink.
Steven tries to help Stacey with her store.
Phil sees that the motors are still on the lot. He demands to know why they are still there. Kevin tells him he’s trying to minimize his losses. Phil tells him he doesn’t care and to get them off. Kevin wonders why the rush now. Phil tells him they are all cut and shut and Jack knows.
Tanya walks in to see the girls finishing up with Oscar. She promises them no more shouting.
The girls give Shirley advice about Vince.
Bradley gets advice from Jack. Peggy wonders why Jack hasn’t given Phil answers. Jack ensures her he’s doing everything he can.
Kevin yells at Phil about handing him cut and shuts. Kevin tells Phil he’ll have them crushed and out of commission for good. He doesn’t want someone’s death on his hands.
Heather overhears Vince on the phone with Hailey telling her he’d rather be with her.
Kevin, Phil, and Darren are shifting the cars. Kevin tells Darren he’s not driving. Phil says, let him. Kevin refuses and tells Darren to put the key back in the office, and he’ll take it next.
Patrick and Yolande discuss her driving lessons. She loved it and can’t wait to drive again. She wants a car. Patrick says he can get her a little runaround. She says she will have better than a runaround. Masood overhears and says, “so she loved my idea for a present?” Patrick gets that little twinkle in his eye when he’s been caught up and says nothing. Yolande looks at him, and Masood tells her he suggested it when Patrick didn’t know what to get Yolande. She folds her arms and gives him the look.
Max’s belongings are on the stairs. He tries to use his key to the flat, but it won’t work. He bangs on the door and yells for Tanya. She opens the door, and he wonders what all this is. She tells him she thought he wanted his things. He asks her about the lock. She tells him she’s changed it. Max gets angry and demands to know what this is about. She tells him that she hopes he has more money because there is nothing left in the joint account. He tells her she won’t stop him from seeing his kids. She tells him she’s seen a solicitor, they will be getting a divorce, and it will be on her terms.
Steven is setting up Stacey’s store when Bradley walks up. Bradley tells him that it’s illegal for the non-licensee to be opening a pitch, so he’s serving notice that Stacey has lost her pitch. Steven and Bradley have words. Steven tells him that Stacey is at home feeling horrible and he’s walking around like the playground police. Steven tells Bradley it’s no wonder she chose his Dad over him. Bradley demands to know what he just said. He and Steven continue as Stacey walks up. Bradley serves her the papers. Stacey tells him he doesn’t have to do that as she’s there now. Bradley walks off. He turns around and tears up the notice.
Denise and Yolande are folding clothes as she tells her about Patrick’s lack of thought. Denise tells Yolande she should get a car to teach Patrick a lesson.
Jack comes in and tries to romance Ronnie with a booking at a posh restaurant. She says she’s got a sweeter date. She motions to Ben. Jack is amused when he realizes it’s Ben. She tells him they have two matinee tickets to the best Ponzo in town, one where the kids shout a lot. She grabs Ben and tells Jack he needs to try harder. Ben smiles big.
Shabs, Carly and Dawn commiserate about their night. Zainab and Masood walk up. Zainab has a go at Dawn telling her she has some nerve keeping her daughter all night. She tells Dawn she shouldn’t have had a baby if she didn’t want to take care of it. Zainab walks away. Mas sits down next to Shabs and tells her if she doesn’t want anyone to know where she’s been then maybe she should take her clothes with her so she can change before she gets home. The girls all giggle.
Heather and Hazel are trying to figure out what to do with what Heather overheard.
Bradley calls out to Jack. Jack offers to take him up the high street for drinks. Bradley tells him he’d rather just come in for a drink. Jack warns him off, and Bradley sees Max at the door. He throws his keys to his flat to his Dad and tells him he doesn’t need them anymore.
Phil approaches Jack. He tells him that he’s gotten the cars off the lot and now he wants information. Jack tells him in due time. Phil reckons he’s just winding him up. Jack tells him that Lisa is back in the country, and as soon as he figures out where she is, he will tell him.
Kevin gets back to the car lot and finds the other motor missing. He goes in, and Denise tells him she’s sold Yolande a car and booked his tickets for the trip.
