Peggy is telling Phil how sorry she feels for Honey, her having no clue what her husband has done. Phil wonders if she is sure about Billy. She tells him it’s bad enough Sal thinks she’s going senile, but she knows what she saw with her own eyes. Phil tells her he will have a word with him.

Dawn tells her that she needs a night out with her. Carly says she can’t as she is broke. Dawn says there will be plenty of blokes to buy them drinks. Ian walks out of the kitchen on the phone, and Masood comes in and delivers the mail. He gives Masood a coin tip.

He comes up, and Honey tells Billy to let her handle it. Honey declares Billy’s innocence. Phil tells her that his mum saw what she saw. Honey says that Peggy needs to get her eyes checked then, Phil pushes on about the money. Billy says he’s innocent, and it has nothing to do with him, but he doesn’t look Phil in the eye. Honey tells Phil he can search the place if he’d like, but he won’t find anything. Phil tells them this isn’t going to go away. Honey looks at Billy, and Billy says it wasn’t him.

Carly comes to the car lot and finds someone sleeping in a car. It’s Sean. He slept in the car after too many drinks. She scoffs at him and tells him he’ll pay for any damages. He tells her it’s clean as a whistle. She tells him, unlike him. He asks her for some tea, and she directs him to the cafe. He flirts his way into a cup with her.

Ian sees Steven. Steven tells him he’s not following him around the square. He’s off to buy Ian and the family Christmas presents. Ian tells him that is very generous of him. Ian then tells him he might have something for him later.

Masood walks into to find Zainab rubbing her feet. She tells him it’s to be expected as she was on her feet for 8 hours yesterday. He offers to make her a good lamb curry. She tells him to select good meat as the last time her jaw hurt for a week. He tells her it needs to slow cook all day, but he will be late as Joe is out sick. Zainab laughs and says he’s not out sick, he’s off spending all the tip money he conned out of people. She said she told him her Masood would never do such a dishonest thing. Masood smirks.

Billy tells Honey she didn’t have to do that. Honey tells Billy someone needed to stand up for him. Mrs. Patel comes in and finds them still there. Billy tells her the council still hasn’t found them a place yet. She tells him that she expected them out yesterday. Billy pleads with her to give them a bit more time. She says she will give them until half-past 3 and that is it.

Phil tells Peggy that Billy denied it all. Peggy says if he’d only come to them and asked for help, but now he is too proud. She knows he took it and all she wants is an apology. Bradley suggests he goes home. Jean’s been asking about him nonstop. Sean refuses and tries to get Bradley to get his things for him. Bradley refuses and says he wouldn’t go behind Stacey’s back like that. Sean says, “no, no, she wouldn’t, would she?” Bradley agrees.

Ian arrives at Pat’s and has the gift for Steven. It’s a restraining order to keep Steven away from his family. Pat questions whether or not it will actually stick. The woman at the county court told him it’s all he needs. Pat breaks it to him that you can’t serve legal paperwork on minors. Ian grabs the paper and storms off.

Peggy brings a Christmas package to post and forgets she gave her tenner to Masood. She realizes it and tells Zainab she will need to go to the Cash Point first. Zainab questions her about giving Masood a tenner. Peggy tells her yes, it was for his Christmas box; it’s a tradition. Zainab is angry and gives Peggy change back for the post and tells her there will be no need to go to the cash point. Peggy wishes her a Very Merry Christmas in a snide tone.

Mrs. Patel comes in and drops off cleaning supplies and notices they have not moved anything out. Billy comes in. He tells Honey it’s the hostel or nothing. Mrs. Patel tells him there is nothing she can do. Billy tells her they have tenant rights. She reminds him that the tenancy agreement was not with her. They will need to get out. Billy calls her a miserable old cow and throws her out. Mrs. Patel tells Billy he can insult her all he likes, but it doesn’t change the fact that they will still need to get out. Billy says, “no one does this to my family, no one.” He leaves. Honey calls after him not to do anything stupid.

Mas comes in and Zainab immediately tears into him about the Christmas tips. She tells him she gave Peggy her money back and he will have to do the same to everyone else who gave him money. He tells her he still has the receipt and she demands he take it back tomorrow.

He asks to shower at the Vic and Ronnie tells him Peggy wouldn’t like that. Jean and Stacey walk in. Jean is ecstatic he’s home. She rushes him out to the house to feed him. Stacey isn’t excited to see him.

Ian rings the doorbell at Pat’s repeatedly. She answers, and he comes in telling her he went to see his solicitor. It turns out he can take out an injunction, but it’s on Pat. She’s to keep Steven away from his family, and if not, then Steven will be in trouble along with her. Pat asks him if he ever wonders if Steven hasn’t turned out this way because of Ian? Ian tells her that is rich coming from her as her two sons went halfway around the world to get away from her. Pat tells him that is enough. Steven comes down the stairs and hears them arguing. Ian yells at Pat that he and Cindy were good until David came along. Pat tells him not to kid himself as Cindy was a player, and she was always going to bleed him dry. Steven comes in and yells at Pat, “How dare you talk about my mum like that!”

Bradley photographs Dot as she leads the children in practice. Abi pushes Bernadette and she drops baby Jesus. Dot doesn’t see this and tells Bernadette to get it together better as they can’t have Mary dropping baby Jesus. Abi looks at Ben and says, “what?” Bernadette runs off as does Abi. Ben tells Dot he has something he needs to tell her.

Ian asks Pat if she’s proud of herself as there is another life ruined. Steven probably hates her now and all, Ian says. Pat tells him that Steven doesn’t hate him; he wants to make everything alright. Ian tells Steven that he’s ruined Jane’s life. His bullet ripped through her womb and tore it apart. Steven is shocked. Pat asks Ian if he’s happy now hurting Steven so much. Steven tells him that he will stay away from them all. He’s horrified at what he’s done.

Masood comes in and tells Zainab he’s done for the day. He tells her he will take the foot spa back and they can forget it ever happened. He hears humming and asks her where the box is. He peeks around the corner and finds her feet in the spa. She tells him maybe it’s ok, just this one time since it’s for medicinal purposes.

Billy comes in and has no worries about Mrs. Patel coming back soon. Honey wonders why. Mrs. Patel knocks on the door because she can’t get in. Billy opens the window and tells her he’s changed the locks, and there is nothing she can do about it. They are staying for Christmas he yells down to her. Billy shuts the window and Honey tells him that it’s her flat.

Dawn and Carly are drinking at the pub. Carly is tying it on. She tells Dawn Sean is back, and he tried it on with her. Dawn doesn’t believe Carly’s protest of not wanting anything to do with him.

Honey asks Billy why he took the money. He tells her he was desperate. She can’t believe he would do such a terrible thing. She tells him there is only one thing for him to do. He must take the money back to Peggy right now, or he’ll never be able to forgive him.

Dawn and Carly walk home. Carly says goodnight to her. Sean walks up and they begin to make out.

Peggy asks Billy if his conscious finally got to him. He whispers he’s sorry. They argue, and Phil hears them after he rings the final bell. Peggy tells him she can’t believe he can’t even manage a decent apology. He tells her he is going. He walks out cash still in hand. He bumps into Phil and spills out the money in front of the pub crowd. Dot is shocked; it was Billy. He tells them times have been hard and he thought since it was for Down Syndrome children he’d just cut out the middle man. He apologizes and walks out to the sound of Peggy, telling him he should be ashamed of himself.
