Ronnie and Roxy are in front of the club. Roxy can’t believe they have their gaff! Ronnie reminds her it’s not open yet. They still have the adverts to pass out. Roxy tells Ronnie to relax as nothing is going to go wrong. Behind them the R flickers in R&R.

Dot arrives home. She touches Jim’s coat and says “you know what I need Jim? A cup of tea and a sit down.”

Kevin is looking at an invoice for PC Morris. He balls it up as Carly comes in and hands him the keys to cars. She tells him there are four more where those came from.

Pat comes into the kitchen as Denise is sitting there. She asks Pat why she’s all dressed up. Pat tells her she’s off to visit Dean. Denise calls out on deaf ears to hug him for her.

Heather comes in and wonders what Shirl is still doing there. She wonders if she should be at the Vic or something. Shirley tells her it’s her day off and they are going to get ratted. Heather tells her she can’t as Mrs. Branning is back and she can’t let her down. Shirley wonders what Heather is up to. She’s acting funny. Shirley wonders if a fellow is coming round. Heather tells her it’s a George Michael marathon. She pays Shirley to leave. Vince is waiting across the way.

Dot hears something in the kitchen. It’s Jean, and the kitchen is a wreck. She’s making a sponge for a surprise. Jean realizes the surprise is for Dot and she’s given it away. Dot is annoyed at the state of her kitchen. Jean tells her she’ll clear up and they can have a good old chin-wag. Dot tells her she’s needed elsewhere.

Darren comes into the cafe and sits down with Kevin. He wonders if he’s heard anything yet. Darren notices that there are new cars. .Kevin tells him they aren’t what he’s thinking; they are kosher. Ronnie comes in and asks Ian if she can leave some adverts. Ian says no at first, but Ronnie convinces him. Ian says he used to have all the moves back in the day. Kevin tells Darren he told Phil he was going to run his business his way. Darren calls out “Morning Phil,” and Kevin stops. Kevin tells him to get down to the car lot and get those motors cleaned by the end of the day. Denise comes in and sits down with Kevin and starts to complain about Pat. She’s got the account books. Kevin closes the books and tells her they are doing alright. He tells her that Deano is going to get his holiday. She wonders what Chelsea is going to get.

Roxy and Ronnie argue about the club DJ and other issues. Ronnie chases after a few blokes and trips over a weight laying on the sidewalk. She’s hurt her arm. Ronnie is yelling, and Roxy slaps her. Ronnie asks if she just hit her. Roxy says they do it in the films. She tells Ronnie to wait there.

Shirley comes home and yelling out to Heather. She doesn’t reply and hears noises and talking between Heather and Vinnie. Shirley gets angry and throws the door open. She calls Heather a lying backstabbing cheating cow. Heather tells her they weren’t doing anything. Shirley quickly recovers when she realizes it’s not what it seems. She laughs and says, “your faces!” Heather starts to tell Shirley what Vinnie is doing when Shirley interrupts. Shirley says he’s tried it once and it didn’t work that time and won’t work again. She tells Heather to get out. She tells her not to poke her nose into her business again. Vinnie and Shirley flirt.

Jase meets Ronnie at the club. He points out that there is no booze. She yells at him and tells him she doesn’t pay him to think. He points out the blinking R, and she tells him to get an electrician in. Dawn comes in and notices the flowers sent to Ronnie. Roxy comes in behind them. She reads the card “Here’s to the start of a beautiful friendship” Ronnie plays it off. Roxy tells her she is taking her to the hospital. Ronnie tries to refuse and states there is too much to do and delivery coming. Roxy orders Dawn to do it. Jase tells Dawn to do what his girlfriend says.

Yolande yells out to Billy about the mistletoe being out too early. Honey comes up and says she’s going to the charity shops. Billy says he’s not having it and gives her some money to go shopping.

Shabnam comes in, and Denise is rather grumpy. Pat comes in. Denise asks her how Dean was. Pat asks her how does she think he is. Denise says that Chelsea would appreciate a visit. Pat tells her that Chelsea can take care of herself. Pat tells Denise that they have the house to themselves tonight, there is a pie in the oven and if they go to the club to please come in quietly. Pat looks at Shabnam and tells her that it’s like a bloody herd of elephants going up those stairs. Pat orders 60 and heads out. Shabs giggles and tells Denise she thought she had it bad. Denise tells her she doesn’t know the half of it.

Bradley comes in and finds Dot looking at her messy kitchen. He tells her that Jean fell out with her neighbors and the noise from the construction was too much for her. Dot tells him that Jean was making her a cake. She says that she’s never been partial to a Victoria Sponge. Bradley says that Jean won’t be there long. Dot tells him that they can all stay as long as they like. She moves on to how the laundrette is a mess. Bradley asks about his Granddad. She says he’s about the same. She says that she’s not sure he’s getting better as she can’t understand what he’s trying to say to her. She asks Bradley about his honeymoon. He tells her it was amazing. Dot says he has a sparkle. Bradley tells her that it’s on film. Dot says they will have to have a special tea. The bell rings, and Bradley tells her he has a new job as an assistant market inspector. Heather is at the door. She pushes her way in. Dot tells her she needs to chat about the cleanliness of the laundrette.

Ronnie and Roxy arrive at the emergency room. Roxy pushes her way into the back and runs into a handsome doctor. She flirts and Ronnie reminds them she’s in pain.

Vinnie is finishing up an Shirley tells him he’s taking her to the cafe.

Darren is quizzing Kevin about where the cars have come from. Phil comes in, and Kevin sends Darren out. Phil tells him there will be a new delivery of cars. Kevin says he doesn’t want Carly involved.

Carly, Shabs and Denise are chatting about living with their parents. Dawn comes in and complains about Keith and Roxy. Carly points out Dawn might need glasses. Denise says she needs to see Ian.

Roxy flirts with the doctor. Ronnie’s arm is not broken. Roxy invites the doctor to the club opening.

Jase is downloading the drinks. He asks Dawn if she is sure it’s right. He flirts with her and she tells him she doesn’t do second chances.

Denise invites Ian and Jane over for dinner. Vinnie and Shirley are having dinner. Shirley is watching Vinnie load up his ginormous piece of bread with what’s on his plate. She wonders why he eats like that. They flirt, and she tells him he’s not her type. He tells her she’s not his either. She asks him if he’s ever going to go away. He tells her to admit she loves it.

Heather is helping clean the laundrette. Dot quotes scripture. Heather doesn’t stop talking. Dot makes a break for it when she notices they are out of tea bags.

Peggy takes a shot at Yolande for the small amount she’s collected for the needy children.

Denise and Kevin chat about Dean’s trip. Kevin agrees to do something for Chelsea too. Denise lets him know they are having Ian and Jane for dinner.

Vince and Shirley are at the pub drinking. She teases him about not being able to keep up. Peggy gives her wages to her. Shirley says she’s saving for her boy. Vinnie says she should stop it or he’ll start believing she has a soft side. Ronnie, Roxy, and Dawn come in bickering. It seems Dawn has signed for mixers and no alcohol. They ask Peggy to raid the cellar with the promise to pay it back tomorrow.

Jean is preparing dinner for Dot. Dot sees that Jean is using Jim’s mug. She goes to grab it, and Jean drops it. Dot is mortified, and she tells Jean, “Now look what you’ve done.”

Honey is making an advent calendar for Janet. It’s sweet and filled with family.

Darren is rifling through Kevin’s files. Carly comes in. He asks her to look at a motor. Kevin comes in and sends Carly on her way. Darren calls him out on the motors being dodgy.

Roxy and Ronnie open the club. Phil and Peggy are the first to arrive. Ronnie asks Roxy who the new DJ is and Roxy says it’s her. Peggy and Phil toast with Ronnie to the Mitchells.

Honey looks at the clock and calls out to Billy. He’s fast asleep. She lets him sleep.

Ronnie goes into the office at the club and is shocked to see Jack sitting there. He asks if his invite got lost in the post.
