Denise and Kevin discuss Deano’s situation in prison. Denise tells him Chelsea is tough but he said himself that Dean isn’t as tough. She worries Deano might do something stupid.

Ronnie and Roxy are reviewing the spelling error in their advert for the grand opening of the club. Phil comes in, and Roxy tells him that Kevin called and said it was urgent. Phil says that it’s always urgent with him. Ronnie tells Phil he must be chuffed about Jase. She isn’t sure why he’s so keen on him.

Honey makes Billy a big breakfast to prepare him for his day. She doesn’t let on that she knows he’s dressing up as an elf. Billy is pleased until he looks at the clock. He realizes he’s late and runs off.

Darren comes into the car lot. Kevin says it’s about time he decided to show his face. Darren tells him that he thought he would give him time to cool down. Kevin is mad that Darren didn’t tell him about the dodgy motors. Darren says that he thought he had sussed it. Darren reminds him that no one messes with Phil Mitchell. Kevin tells him he’ll sort this with Phil.

Billy walks in the cafe and Ian is immediately on his case about being late. He sarcastically tells him how to read a clock. He knocks on Billy’s forehead and says, “hellloooo helloooo is anyone there? I don’t know. The lights are on, but no one is home.” Billy asks him not to do that. Ian reminds him that bunking off and giving his stall to Steven was even worse. Ian tells Billy that he could train a monkey to do his job. Billy asks if he can go now.

Ronnie is trying to work, and Roxy is testing out the sound system. Ronnie yells at her to turn it down. The power suddenly goes out. Phil walks in and brings their adverts. Ronnie tosses them at Roxy and tells her to make herself useful. Phil gives Ronnie the number of an electrician.

Pat comes into the kitchen and Denise is sitting there. She tells Pat she’s called in sick. Pat looks at a parcel on the table. Denise wonders what it is. Pat says she was hoping she could take it into the post office for her. It’s a package for Deano. Denise says, “oh, so nothing for Chelsea?” Pat replies that it’s just that Deano needs to know they are there for him. Denise wonders out loud of Chelsea doesn’t need to know the same. Denise tells Pat that Chelsea will never be a part of this family, not after what she did. Pat says she didn’t mean it like that.

Phil and Kevin meet up. Kevin is upset and wonders why Phil didn’t tell him as they are meant to be mates. Phil tells him he’s shocked he didn’t figure it out as motors of that quality don’t come that cheap. Kevin is mad that he’s got them all involved in this with Carly working on the motors. Kevin tells Phil that PC Morris drove the jag off the lot yesterday. Phil tells him it’s not his problem as he didn’t sell the motor to him. Kevin is angry that he paid Darren to be quiet. Phil tells Kevin that he really can’t read people very well as Darren stiffed him for 200 quid to keep quiet.

Ronnie is working on getting the power back on. Roxy is outside with Dawn. Dawn asks her who the DJ is. Roxy teases her and says it’s MC Big Mo. Jase comes up, and Roxy tells him she got him the job and he better not let her down. Jase wonders if there is a way for him to repay her. Dawn comes out and interrupts

Kevin unleashes his anger at Darren. He fires Darren as he pleads with him to give him one more chance. Darren thinks he’s going to but Kevin just needs PC Morris address.

Vince comes to the Vic to see Shirley and asks her on a date. She pushes him off, and he is a bit sad. Shirley tells him she’s got to prove something to someone. Vince tells her she’s proving something to him. He leaves, and both he and Shirley are sad.

Peggy is in the cafe asking for donations. Billy is rude to her. Honey apologizes. Vince comes in and Heather tries to smooth things over.

Kevin loads his car up. Darren jumps in the car. Kevin tries to kick him out of the car after he susses that Kevin is going to torch the car.

Heather comes running in the Vic telling Shirley she has to stop him. Shirley wonders who she has to stop. Heather tells her that Vince is going to give up on her. Shirley says it’s his loss. Ronnie tells Phil it’ will be a week before she can get anyone into work on the electric. Phil smiles smugly and says he can help. They are family, after all.

Billy is cranky, and Honey tells him she followed him and knows what he’s been up to. He is shocked, but she tells him she had to as he got in a car with a woman.

Kevin and Darren arrive at the address but he’s not home.

Vinnie walks into the bookies an chats up Pat. He places a bet. He invites Pat to lunch at the Vic. She accepts.

Kevin and Darren wait anxiously. Darren says they should play a game to pass the time. Kevin is impressed by Darren’s knowledge of films. The tensions diminish between them. Kevin gives him some advice about being a parent in the future. PC Morris arrives home.

Dawn is out leaving adverts and Shabs waves at her but Dawn doesn’t acknowledge her.

Kevin and Darren hotwire the car and steal PC Morris’ car.

Pat arrives at the Vic and taunts Shirley.

Ronnie is at work in the club and the lights come on. The electrician tries to take her for 400 quid but she negotiates it to 150 quid.

Pat and Shirley take jabs at one another. Vince arrives for their lunch. Shirley gets jealous. Vince cancels lunch with Pat. Shirley still pushes him away.

Darren and Kevin make their way back to the square. They chat about what they’ve done, and Kevin tells him to keep his mouth shut. He reminds him it’s not a movie. Kevin calls a cab and tells Darren he’ll see him tomorrow.

Billy is in the Vic while Peggy and Ronnie discuss money making. Billy slams his beer down and leaves.

Phil pays off the “electrician” and they joke a bit. Phil sees Kevin arrive back home.

Kevin walks in the house and finds Denise at home. He wonders what is wrong. She tells him about the conversation she had with Pat. She wonders when things will be better for them.

Billy comes into the cafe and Ian tells him that if things don’t pick up he will have to let him gol

Kevin and Phil discuss the motors. Kevin tells him he won’t sell any more dodgy motors. Phil tells him then he will expect the keys at the end of the month as he rents that place from him. Phil says if he won’t sell them, then he’ll rent it to someone who can.
