Bradley is making breakfast in bed tray for Stacey. She says she has to get out on the store because one of them has to earn some money. Bradley is hurt by that, and she tells him she knows he will find something soon. She passes up breakfast.
Steven comes bouncing down the stairs in a shirt matching his store name.
Honey wakes Billy up as they’ve slept through the night. Billy is late for the store. Honey is happy that they slept through the night. He’s happy too but has to get to work.
Steven walks up to his store and finds it all torn up. Stacey asks him what happened. He accuses Stacey of doing it, and she asks him if he is looking for a slap. He says “if it wasn’t you then who was it?” He looks at Ian’s house.
Ian is singing in French and comes in and wonders where Monique is. Peter says she’s in a foul mood. She comes down but wants to call her mum. She wants to go home. Steven comes pounding on the door. He drags Ian outside to show him what he’s done. He shows Pat what Ian has done. He tells Ian he will get the police involved. Ian taunts him. They bicker, and Pat stops it. Billy shows up late to work and Ian notices. Steven says anything is more important than him. Steven is fuming. He yells at Ian that he will get the police involved. Pat tells him to leave his stock and Stacey will keep an eye on it. Steven says he doesn’t trust her, he doesn’t trust anyone. Stacey calls out that she thought her family was bad.
Ian comes in, and Monique still wants to leave. She wonders why they treat Steven so bad. Ian tells her there are things she doesn’t know. He asks her to give him til tonight
Max asks Lauren why she doesn’t have a foreign exchange student. She tells him he told her she couldn’t have one due to the baby and money. Bradley comes in, and Laurent and Max are arguing. Laurent goes to school. Bradley apologizes about the job interview.
Shirley and Heather chat about a magazine test. Shirley busts her chops about Garry meeting women over in Tenerife. Heather continues to try to give her the quiz. Shirley pushes back and tells her that the man of her dreams is exactly there: in her dreams.
Monique, and Lucy are in the cafe. Monique is really infatuated with Steven. She pointes out that Peter is totally in love with Lauren. Lucy notices it.
Steven pays the men who repaired his stall.
Max tries to convince Bradley about the job. He tells him he hopes he didn’t make a decision he will regret. Bradley discusses his marriage and the mixed signals from Stacey. Max puts him straight about what marriage is really like.
Phil comes into the carlot with a car. Kevin is impressed and doesn’t think he will be able to sell it as he’s a second-hand car dealer and this feels wrong. Phil tells him it’s what stepping up looks like. He tells him he has two more to go. Darren comes out as Phil is leaving. Darren tells him the Minut mart doesn’t sell caviar so why are they selling upscale cars. Kevin tells him he’ll dock him a fiver if he keeps it up. Darren tells him he just meant he will need a higher class customer.
Shirley comes in as and sees Hazel and Heather chatting. Shirley tells Hazel the only reason Heather did this was to get Garry in bed. Hazel tells Shirley it’s a shame some people can’t be happy for others and just want them to be as miserable as themselves. Shirley looks at Heather and asks her what she’s been saying. Hazel tells her she knows all about the gent. Shirley is ticked.
Steven comes in and tells Ian his plan failed. He tells him he should be thinking of his alibi as the police will be round asking questions. Ian is puzzled at Steven.
Kevin watches as a customer is checking out a car. He tells Darren it won’t be long and he’ll have him on the hook. Darren tells him some things are too good to be true. Darren looks over the paperwork and sees something.
Stacey and Bradley are chatting. She tells him she has already told him she loves him for who he is not what his job is. He asks her if she would be happy if he got a job not in the city and gave them more time together. She wonders what he’s playing at. He kisses her and says he will see her tonight. Steven blares music and starts obnoxiously hawking his goods. Stacey is annoyed.
Honey calls Billy to tell him she said yes to a flat on Canal Street. She’s opening a letter and as they are talking about the flat and how expensive it is. She asks Billy to come home for a minute.
Phil is on the phone in the cafe when Darren walks in to chat with him. Darren tells him that Kevin has put him in charge of the service records. Darren tells Phil that he noticed an issue with the service records. He tells Phil that he won’t make a big deal about it but Kevin might. Phil tells him that he doesn’t talk to the monkey he talks to the organ grinder. Phil tells him he will do a one for him. Darren says no he’ll take 200 and then they will have a deal.
Honey and Billy are reviewing the paperwork. Billy explains that he has to check it out. It can’t be right. He tells Honey to wait to take the deposit for the flat.
Hazel and Heather come in, and Shirley tells them they better not be up to anything. Shirley tells them no more contest. Heather explains it’s for a spa weekend and as she is her best mate. Shirley tells her there is a pen in her purse. Heather and Hazel order drinks. Heather finds Vince’s card. They have a plan.
Bradley tells Stacey he will be the new assistant market inspector. She’s not quite thrilled but tells him maybe he can help her with Steven.
Kevin comes in and sees Darren putting together his new phone. He tells Kevin executive cars need executive toys.
Monique decides she can stay.
Bradley and Kevin are talking about how to keep a marriage spicy. Max comes in and tells him he’s heard the good news. Kevin tells Max he’s just been giving Bradley a pep talk. Max tells Kevin that Bradley is a Branning and he don’t need no help. Kevin gives Bradley an idea. Max gives Bradley the keys to a flat with the rent paid in full for a year.
Stacey has worked out why Steven is doing so well. He’s selling everything at cost and isn’t making a profit. She tells Pat about it. Steven gloats that he’s setting up market domination. Steven tells Stacey she should be more concerned about the police turning up. Pat looks dismayed. Stacey answers her phone, and it’s her mum asking to see her.
Billy comes into the cafe and is looking for a woman. Ian yells at him for ditching his stall. Billy asks about the woman, and Ian tells him she left two minutes ago. Billy goes running after her. He sees her in her car and catches and asks her for one more chance. He tells her he needs her now more than he ever did.
Bradley is putting on a bowtie. He hears the door open and turns on the music He comes downstairs naked with a champagne bottle in front of his privates. Jean and Stacey are standing there and get a giggle.
