Chelsea is screaming at Libby. She’s insulted that all Libby can think about is this stupid project with Tamwar when she is going to prison. Denise tells Libby she has no idea what her sister is going through. Kevin yells for Denise to go easy on Libby as she’s just being a teenager. Chelsea calls Libby a stupid cow. Kevin tells them they are supposed to be pulling together now tearing one another apart.  Chelsea yells that it’s a bit late for that now isn’t it? Chelsea stomps off and Libby says she was just trying to take Chelsea’s mind off it by talking about school. Denise says she’s never seen Chelsea so wound up. Kevin says that she is about to face the biggest ordeal of her life.Denise says it doesn’t seem to be bothering Deano. Out on the square Sean asks Deano if he wants to hear a joke? “How does the prisoner call his mate in the nick? On his Cell Phone… get it!” Sean tells him he should try it for practice. Deano tells Sean that he doesn’t need it because he ain’t going nowhere.  Shirley walks up and says that must mean his brief had good news. Dean says that he told him loads of stuff. Shirley asks him if he is going to get a suspended sentence? Deano replies yeah but can we talk about it later as I’m busy?

Stacey walks out of the Minut Mart and yells at Max “Proud of yourself are you? I’m talking to you!” Max turns around to face Stacey. She tells him that this is a new low for him. He replies that he wasn’t about to let his son have a psycho for a best man. Stacey tells him it doesn’t matter who it is as long as it ain’t him. Max tells her he isn’t about to let his son down. Stacey tells him that is a first because that is his specialty.  He pats her face and tells her to get over it. Stacey yells after him she doesn’t know how he sleeps at night.

Shirley goes to Kevin and Denise’s and asks them if the brief said they were going to get a suspended sentence. Kevin says that he made it perfectly clear that there was no way out of it. She asks them if Deano was there. Kevin says yes he was. She yells at them that he’s out on the square acting like a happy Larry telling her he’s practically in the clear.  Kevin says that maybe he doesn’t want to face up to it. She says he better because that poncy brief isn’t going to do him any favors. Denise tells her to hang on a minute because that brief that they are paying a lot of money to is working to get them a reduced sentence. They may only get a few weeks. Shirley says that she’s more deluded that Dean if she thinks they’ll get a few days and a pat on the head. Kevin tells Shirl that is not what she said. Shirley tells them they can keep their heads buried in the sand, but she has to get him to face reality. Kevin says he needs gentle handling. Shirley says he’s not handling him at all.  Kevin reminds her that he’s been there and she needs to just keep out of it.

Chelsea walks up to Dean and wonders how he’s doing it. He asks her what? She says keeping up the Mr. Happy personality with all they are facing. Shirley marches up to them and spills that she’s just spoken to Kevin and Denise and knows he’s going to jail. She tells him he better face up to reality.

Jane is distracted in the cafe. Honey asks her how things are. Jane asks her what she means. Honey says nothing and comments on her having some help as Steven walks by. Honey turns to go but gets dizzy and grabs the counter. Steven goes to help and Honey thanks him. She says she just gets a bit dizzy when she hasn’t eaten properly. Jane suggests she sit down, but Honey makes her way out.

Sean is discussing the old plan for the wedding. Stacey shushes him and says she has another job for him. She asks him to give her away. He asks her what about Uncle Charlie giving her away. She tells him she wants him to do it. He tells her he would be honored. Tanya comes in, and Stacey whispers to Sean that she can’t stand to talk buttonholes or wedding favors one more time. Tanya tells her to be at hers at one o’clock as she has a surprise for her. Stacey agrees.

Roxy knocks on Patrick’s door. He asks who it is and she yells that it’s her and to open the door, please. She brings him a peace-offering. She tells him that she was a right cow and is really sorry. He tries to turn her away. He takes the drink, and she tells him that if he fancies another one, he knows where she is.

Shirley is talking to Dean about going to jail. He says that maybe the brief got it wrong. She tries to prepare him for prison. She tells him not to grass, boast and show respect. She tells him not to cry or show fear. She says it’s better to fight and lose than cower in the corner. She tells him to stick to the rules, and they won’t break him. He tells her he’s frightened. Shirley says she knows. Kevin comes in and yells asking what in the hell she’s said to him.

Dot is waiting at the counter as she watches Yolande struggle to put up stock. Dot tells her it’s all too much for her. Yolande says it takes twice as long. Dot tells her she knows she will keep it up till her back is broke before she asks for help. Yolande says she’s waiting for Patrick to turn a corner and until then what can she do? She says until then she’ll just have to carry on. Dot orders 20 of her usual.

Patrick comes in, and Roxy thinks he’s come to take her up on her offer of another drink. He replies that he’s only there to return her glass. She tells him it must have really knocked him back being attacked like that. She was a fool for the way she acted. She tells him that he’s there now so he could have the drink. Patrick tells her he will let bygones be bygones. She says he won’t regret it.

Kevin is laying into Shirley for getting in Dean’s head.  Kevin says he was going to talk to him. She asks him when? He’s going to jail in 3 days.It’s always too little too late with you! Kevin reminds her that he’s been there for him from the start. Dean tells them both to shut up.He understands he’s going to jail and he’s fine with it. He doesn’t want them fighting for his last few days.

Dot is in the Cafe talking to Jane about how hard Yolande is having it without Patrick’s help. She looks at Jane and says that she’d know all about it though wouldn’t she what with Ian.  Jane tells her she is managing. Steven walks up and Jane introduces him. Dot is shocked it’s Ian’s Steven. She says it ‘s  a shame he’s come all this way. She can’t believe how he’s grown. He says that he was 12 when he left. She says he was always full of mischief, giving Ian a dance for his money. She asks him if he remembers when he got up on the roof of the Park Cafe and wouldn’t come down until Ian bought him and ice cream? She said half the square was out with ladders trying to get him down. She said that Cindy was furious. He asks Dot if she knew his mum. Dot replies she did, and she was a very pretty girl. Steven replies that she was beautiful. Dot agrees. Steven asks her “but?” Dot replies that “Beauty is a gift if it is wisely used.” Steven says that it wasn’t like that, she was a good woman and people like Dot would never give her a chance. Dot says perhaps that is true. She excuses herself to head back to the laundrette and says goodbye to Steven. He glares at Dot.

Chelsea walks past Dean and tells him to cheer up as it might never happen. She’s been off to get a new suit for court. She wonders what he’s going to wear. He tells her he hadn’t thought about it. She tells him he better. He tells her that his Dad has stuff. She asks if he’s tried it on yet? He says no. She tells him that he better as she isn’t having him show her up in court.  Dean looks broody.

Stacey arrives at Tanya’s and tries to beg off saying she doesn’t feel good. Tanya says it’s too late to beg off and introduces her to the wedding stylist. Stacey looks thrilled. Abi is spying on Lauren. Lauren comes in with a package. Abi tells her she’s going to tell on her if she doesn’t share. Lauren agrees.

Pat walks up to Steven at the cafe as he’s cleaning the outside tables. She tells him that she’s spoken with his dad and he’s worried about him. She tells him that he doesn’t seem himself. He plays it off. She asks if he is bothered by Ian not being around. It must be disappointing. He tells her it had nothing to do with his Dad and he just fancied backpacking like every other kid under the age of 25. Pat tells him that she knows him and something is not right. He tells her that maybe she doesn’t know him as well as she thinks.

Sean sees Max walking by and asks how the Best Man is today. He tells him not to forget his invite.

Steven bumps into Jane and drops the tray of dishes. He apologizes and Jane tells him it’s alright. They are all just trying to do their best. He tells her she’ll be alright. Eventually. She says for what? He says well you are still young enough.  He says to find someone. She says if what? If Ian never comes back? She tells him she has enough on without that thought. Peter comes in and asks if he wants to go kick the ball around. Steven declares that Jane needs him there. She tells him to go and she’ll cope.

The wedding specialist is a bit cheesy and it puts Stacey off. Tanya plays along at first but when the stylist shows Stacey a cheap tarty wedding dress option Tanya calls her out and says they aren’t looking for basement bargains as that is why they called her. Stacey tells her she doesn’t want her spending a fortune and Tanya tells her nothing is too good for her future daughter in law. Bradley meets Max in the pub and gives him a gift of cuff links that say Best Man.

Dot calls to Honey asking if she’s like a cup of tea. Honey gets dizzy again. Dot asks her to sit and she’ll call Billy. Honey asks her not to. Dot tells her that it’s time for her to take a break and her job will be there when she’s ready. Honey is grateful.

Peter and Steven are in the park. Steven tells him what Dot told him about the park cafe. He tells Peter that their mom was a wonderful person. He asks Peter if he still remembers her. Peter says that he used to watch a video but it broke and then Dad threw it away. Steven tells him that he should have never left him or Lucy. He hugs him and says he’s back now and everything is going to be alright.

The stylist is finished taking measurements and asks to use the restroom. Tanya sends her off to the upstairs bathroom. She tells Stacey she’s sorry, that the stylist has some nice stuff but she’s a right snobby cow. She tells Stacey she deserves a large glass of wine. Stacey tells her she feels like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Tanya tells her she felt that way when she married Max. Stacey says it’s a shame neither of them resemble Richard Gere. Tanya says they are alright in their own way.

Max and Bradley are in the Vic discussing Best Man duties.  Patrick is still there. Roxy turns up a song and Patrick  and her bond over the group. Patrick is laughing and having a good time.

Lauren and Lucy are at the park. Lauren is filming and drooling over Steven. Lucy tells her hands off.  Lauren heads off. Lucy talks to Steven and tells him that she wishes she could go to New Zealand. He tells her that maybe one day he’ll take her.

Denise answers the door and it’s Tamwar. He barges in and request to speak to Libby. Denise tells him a please would be nice.  She asks him what this is about. They got their assignment and Libby took all the books out of the library in an effort to make him fail. He explains that her ex-boss is his mom. He leaves and Libby drops all the books. Denise sends her off upstairs. Chelsea looks right smart in her new suit. Dean comes down and looks smart in his suit too. Chelsea starts crying and says she can’t do it .He tells her that they can get through it together.

Steven keeps telling the twins about New Zealand. He talks about bunge jumping. He tells them there is a whole world out there to explore and they’ve wasted too much time as it is. They come in and the police is there.  They’ve found Ian’s car. Peter fears he is dead. DS Grimwood introduces himself to Steven. He tells them he’ll be in touch if he has anymore news.

Roxy and Patrick dance to Mustang Sally . Yolande comes in and sees them dancing. She walks back out.

Chelsea is pushing her food around. Denise says “so much for a family dinner” Chelsea says they all have a lot on their mind. Chelsea says she feels better after talking to Deano. Libby comes in and tells Denise she’s sorry. Chlesea apologizes to Libby.

Patrick tells Roxy it’s been a long time since he’s danced like that. He asks her if she’s not doing anything tomorrow could she come round. Max walks up to Bradley and tells him it’s too soon to think of speeches. He tells Bradley he’s got to head out.
Dean finds Kevin still up. Kevin tells Dean he’s proud of him.</p>

Max comes in and finds Stacey all made up in her wedding dress. He’s taken aback. Tanya walks in and says she is beautiful isn’t she?

Dean sneaks down the stairs, grabs his bag and leaves.

Jane is sleeping when she hears her door creak. She looks up but nothing is there. She rolls over and just on the other side of the door Steven is watching her sleep.
