Jay asks his dad if he was in prison and did that mean he didn’t really work on those ships. Jase tells him yes he was in prison. Jay tells him he has to go back upstairs to play with Ben.

Chelsea punches Dean. Denise yells at her and asks how that is going to make anything better. Chelsea says she doesn’t know, but she’s feeling better already.

Ian pulls up to the old Pavillion. He is nervous and parks. He gets out and sees a poster of Cindy playing live at the Pavilion. The field is full of kids playing sports.

Denise hands Dean a bag of ice. He says “thanks, mum.” She asks him what he said. Kevin tries to explain he’s disoriented. Denise tells him to shut it and not say a word. She tells him she will text him later to find out how Dean is doing. She tells him not to read anything into it. She says to text her fine, not fine. Dean says that’s two words. She tells him if he was any stupider they’d have to water him. She goes out to find the cab has left. Chelsea says the cabbie said if he wanted a domestic he’d have stayed home. Kevin comes running out and says he’s begging her. She tells him not to, and he offers a car for her to use.

Ian is walking along the balcony and spies someone laying under a bunch of coats. The field is emptying, and it’s almost like a ghost town.

Phil comes in and tells Jay and Ben that Jay has to go home. Ben says they are in the middle of a race. Phil tells him that his dad will want him home. Jay says that he won’t. Phil tells him it doesn’t matter because it’s time for him to go home. Phil spies the pink undies in Ben’s pocket and asks him what it is. Ben pulls out the underwear and declares that he didn’t do this. Jay comes clean and says he did it for a laugh. Phil asks him if he sees anyone laughing. Phil tells him it’s time to get his coat and go home. Phil then tells Ben that he’s a bit older than his other mates. Jay asks what other mates he’s talking about. Phil tells him to go. Jay tells Ben bye.

Kevin asks Denise what car she wants. He hands her keys and then locks them into the office. He says he knows he did wrong, but he came back.

Jane is staring at a photo of Lucy. Peter tells her he needs some new shorts. A message comes in from the hotel. He asks if anything is wrong. She tells him nothing, nothing at all.

Ian is leaving the Pavilion and spies a note on his windshield. It’s directions to the place to meet up with Cindy. It says when you get there I’ll show you the way.

Denise is naming off all the things that would have gone wrong if he’s gone. She tells him to get out of her site. He tells her he loves her. She reminds him he put that in his note. She reminds him of what love is, but he packed his bag anyway. He tells her how hard this was on Dean and that he felt like Dean might hurt himself. He tells her that he did wrong and he knows it. He begs her to punish him. She turns to face him.

Meanwhile, at home, Chelsea and Libby are taking turns calling Dean all sorts of names. Pat stops them and tells them they’ve had their turn. He apologizes to them. He covers that no matter what they are still guilty and they won’t be able to help him when he’s in prison. Denise comes in just in time to hear him say if he had it his way he’d be sat on a plane getting far out of there. She sends him over to the car lot to sit and wait with his dad. She looks at Pat and tells her she needs to talk to her girls in private.

Ian is driving down streets and comes to the location. It’s an abandoned high rise. He looks up

Jay is in a phone booth and has carved out LIAR when the police come up. He goes with them.

Chelsea says they should go to Auntie Kym’s. They bicker about what Denise should do. Chelsea asks her what she knows. Libby tells her that she knows that when hers dumped her, she framed him for murder. Chelsea says that if she lets him get a pass for this, then he’ll think he can do whatever. Denise says, in the end, one of them will be disappointed. She tells Libby that it is not forever, but a line has to be drawn.

Ian locks the door and looks up to see lights flashing on the top floor. He gulps.

Jase gets a call from the police. He asks them what it’s for and says he’ll be straight down.

Ian walks up to the door and reads the trespass note on the door. He goes inside, and a bell noise goes off. He sees a photo of him and the coffin. A note reads “don’t you want to know why? Come up. Kettles on. Cindy xxx” He heads upstairs.

Denise comes in to find Dean sweeping up the minced meat. She tells him he was meant to be waiting with his dad. He tells her he did. She asks if he’s seen her house key. He asks if this is it. He tells her it wasn’t his dad’s fault. She tells him no one makes anyone do anything they don’t want? He says that he didn’t want to go. For as long as he can remember his dad always wanted to be a part of something that he loved. A family. She asks him if that is what he thinks they are? A family? He says yes. He goes to dump them, and she tells him to leave it, and she will sort it.

Jase and Jay come home. Jase tells Jay to sit down. He wants to know what is going on in that little head of his. Jay says what because I got nicked? Jase asks if this is because he was banged up? Jay tells him he could care less about him getting nicked. He lied to him, and he kept on lying. Jase tells him he’s trying. He’s just out of prison, and he’s trying to seem like a good dad. Jay tells him that everyone knew, even Ben before he did. Jay gets up and walks out. Jase yells at him to stop. Jay asks him what the last thing he said to him this morning was. Jase tells him he can’t remember. Jay says “you said make me proud.” Jase rubs his hands across his face. He replies that he had his test today. Jay takes out his results and shows him that he’s sixth in his class. He walks out. Jase calls after him. He opens the paper to see that Jay did well.

Ian walks up the stairs, and the lights go dim. He turns on his flashlight. He sees a figure standing at the balcony. He walks up to it. It’s a mannequin. He hears “Nothing Compares 2 U” playing. He follows it to a door. The music gets louder. He calls out a hello. He points his flashlight around the hall. He yells out hello again. He opens the door to a dark room. He points his flashlight around the room. He sees a computer playing the music, a phone, and some food on the table. He stops the music. He walks out into the hall nervously. He tries a door, but it’s locked. He hears a crash and looks up.

Jane is watching a film. She tries to calm Peter who is worried about his dad. She tells him he’s phoned and he’s in South Africa.

Ian opens a door and steps on a piece of glass. He sees stacks of crackers and has a puzzled look on his face.

In the cafe, Jay’s phone goes off. It is from his dad, and he says he’s sorry and to please come home.

Ian opens the door to a bathroom. The mirror is broken, and the tub is filthy. He walks back down the hall and opens the next door. He sees a makeshift bed on the floor. Just then the music starts back up. He walks back to the room and turns the music off again. He yells out “you said you want to end this. I don’t care who you are or what you are. Just show yourself.” He sees a flashing light.

Denise is cooking. Kevin comes in and says he didn’t get a call. She tells him to sit down. He asks if she’s made a decision. She tells him that she has decided that she is not ready to give up on their family yet. He gets up and is excited. She hands him a plate of chili, and he says it’s his favorite. She says she knows as she cleans off the dustbin that had been holding the minced meat.

Jase’s phone rings. A message from Jay comes in that reads “LIAR” Jase closes his phone and sees himself in the mirror and smashes it and yells come on at himself.

Ian is lured to a room with a flashing light. In it is every photo of him and Cindy and his face is crossed out with bid x. Jane is at home in tears as she kisses Peter. Ian grabs at the photos and screams why! Someone closes the door and locks it. Ian says it can’t be. It’s Steven.
