Chelsea comes in and tells Dean that he has to get ahold of himself and get back on the store. She reminds him that her mum gets back today and she can’t get wind of this. Dean says that would be bad, would it? Her knowing what lying scumbags they are. Chelsea closes the door and tells Dean that they are in this together. Dean says “really because it doesn’t feel like it. How come I’m the only one with Lucy Bealle on my case” Chelsea tells him she’s a little kid who knows nothing. Dean reminds her that she’s a little kid who knows they lied. Just then Kevin walks in, and Denise calls him.
Phil is passed out on the sofa. Roxy and Ronnie come in, and Peggy orders them to get him up and out of there before Ben finds him like this.
Kevin finishes up his call with Denise. He tells them it’s about half an hour before she’s home. Chelsea begs him to tell her what he plans to do with the tape. Carly tells him to go on and tell them what he’s done with the tape. She tells them he’s burned it. Chelsea thanks him and he tells her he didn’t do it for her. Kevin tells them that he thought making them squirm and sweat a little would make them realize what they’d done. But he says they’re still just worried about their own skins. Dean tells him that they are so sorry. Kevin asks if that is the best he can do. Chelsea walks out, and Dean looks disgusted with himself.
Jane yells for Bobby to come down for breakfast. Lucy is scowling over her breakfast. Ian says he doesn’t know what more he can do. He’s already said he was sorry. Ian says “there is no way I’d want to hurt my little girl.” Lucy tells him she’s not his little girl. Jane gets up and says she’s not going to have this kick off again. Lucy reminds her that she’s not her little girl either in a very mean tone. Jane says “maybe not, but someone has to do something to hold this family together. Maybe family counseling?” Peter comes down the stairs. He says “what I haven’t even done anything?!” Jane says fine then we will hold a family meeting at tea time. She tells Lucy that if she doesn’t want to be treated like a little girl, then she shouldn’t act like one. Lucy tells her yeah alright.
Peggy tells the girls that she’s gotten ahold of Ben’s mobile. She doesn’t want him talking to Phil until he’s sober. She explains that Phil doesn’t drink because he’s a drunk and that is how he lost Kathy and Ben the last time. Ben comes in asking about his dad. Peggy tells him that his dad isn’t up yet.
Bradley heads off to work. Abi is there with Dot. Dot goes on about how the computer was talking to her. Abi shows her that it was just the webcam and turns it on. She heads off for school, and Dot reminds her not to forget her chocolate.
Denise comes in and is excited to be home. The mood is tense when Denise asks what they’ve been up to. Carly says they just stayed home watching videos, but they were a bit disappointing. Chelsea shoots her a look. Denise hands out gifts and Libby is excited to open her’s. A bike to help reduce the carbon footprint she’s always going on about Denise says. She also asks them all to meet in the Vic later on for a surprise. She pulls out a shirt for Dean with a shirt that has a diamond on it and Geezer. Chelsea says that especially after they do their little surprise for Yolande and Patrick.
Phil comes into the kitchen and Peggy is excited to see him. She hands him food, and he asks where Ben is. He says he’s not hungry. Peggy tells him he needs to eat. He turns to walk out of the kitchen, and Roxy tries to stop him. He brushes past her and grabs his coat. Peggy yells at him that the last thing he needs is another skinful. He heads to the bar, and Ronnie blocks him. He pushes round again and demands Shirley pour him a large scotch. He tells her to hurry up he hasn’t got all day. She says “your the boss.” Peggy reminds her that actually, she is the boss and if she serves him, she can collect her cards. Peggy tells Phil to think of Ben. Hasn’t he been through enough? Phil goes next door and tries to buy a bottle of scotch. Yolande cautiously brings up the bottle. He tells her he’ll pay her later. She points to a sign that says no credit. He gets angry and says he can obviously pay for it. He insults Yolande calling her a two-bob corner shop as if she doesn’t know he’s good for it. Ian walks in, and Phil walks out.
Peggy is collecting cash from all the places he would get it. Minty tells her that he needs the cash. Peggy gives him the day off, but Minty tells him that the owner of the car needs the car done today. She warns Minty not to let Phil get his hands on the cash. Peggy leaves, and Hazel asks if the picnic is off. Minty is locking up the doors, and he tells her that he’s thinking of asking Phil to be his best man. Just then Phil bangs on the door.
Denise and Chelsea are in the cafe and chatting, but Ian is less than cordial. Jane reminds him that they should have a service with a smile. Jane says she had to do something and reminds Ian that deep down she’s still his little girl.
Lucy confronts Dean again. He tells her to go away. He tells her so what if he and Chelsea lied to the police. The tape is gone. The only problem is Lucy recorded it and tells him she’ll see him down at the cop shop.
Peggy is in the cafe, and Yolande tells her what’s happened. She says he must have forgotten his wallet. She runs into Max and asks if he could sort Ben later.
Chelsea is in the salon and says to Dean “before you say anything what do you think about Amsterdam?” Lucy pops out from behind him.
Out on the square, Kevin ask Carly if she isn’t going to even talk to him about it. He says he knows he hasn’t done right by her but she has to give him a chance. She wonders what he’ll do with the local heroes. He begs her to give him a chance.
Chelsea is reaming Dean and asks him how stupid he is. She says he’s like some kind of medical mystery or something. Dean yells that she tricked him. Chelsea said yeah what with her little mp3 player. She asks if she brought barbie and ken for muscle. Chelsea tells her that she’s going to get pocket change and nothing else. Lucy says no she’ll get what she’s demanded today. Dean tries to talk her round, but Lucy refuses. Dean takes out money.
Phil is on the bench in the square. He just misses Ben, Abi, and Max.
In the garage, Hazel and Minty are having a picnic and Phil bust the door open. Minty sends Hazel out. Phil demands to know where the money is. When Minty won’t tell him Phil fires him.
Dot finds a book titled Aliens in the sitting room. Just then she hears “Mrs. Dorothy Branning, we are looking for Mrs.Dorothy Branning.” Dot yells how do you know my name! The voices tell her to come to the computer grandma. Dot pushes the button and sees Abi.
Dean is in the kitchen and sees the shirt Denise gave him. He runs to the sick and is sick. Carly comes in and says “I thought you’d be pleased to see the back of me,” he says no. They talk about what he’s going to do. He says he tried to make things better for Patrick and Yolande and he couldn’t do that. He just wants it to stop. He cries. Carly says she found the necklace in the shower. Dean says Jimbo was supposed to watch over him, but he’s let him down. Carly tells him he can put this right and she will come with him. Dean runs out.
Jane, Peter, and Ian are waiting for Lucy. Peter is impressed at the cake as his dad hasn’t made one of those in a long time. Jane says they can cut into it. Ian demands they wait for Lucy.
Lucy meanwhile, is in a hotel room with Craig. He’s counting the money. He wonders where she got it. He is angry when she tells him how she got it. He says he’s going to take a shower. He looks at her and says “Little Lucy Beale. Ain’t on the playground anymore, eh?”
Phil is heading into the Vic when he spies Peggy knocking on Max’s door. Peggy anxiously knocks again. Max lets her in.
Chelsea stops Dean from turning himself in. Dean says it’s never going to end until he stops it. Chelsea says “and drop your dad in it and all?” She tells him this is nothing when the police get ahold of him. She threatens him with telling them everything. She drags Dean to the Vic. Carly is watching their interaction.
Phil knocks on the door, and Max lets him in. He demands to see Ben. He pushes through and doesn’t find him. Max says they are just out here and pushes him out the back door.
Ben is frustrated with having to leave out the back door. Peggy brushes him off and sends him upstairs.
Denise and Kevin are in the Vic when she sees her guest arrive. She calls him over. Libby comes in. Dean and Chelsea come in. They ask about Patrick and Yolande. Denise says they couldn’t make it. She explains that Brian is from Readers Lives. Denise tells them how she told him about the two of them standing up and doing what is right and he’s there to do their story. Kevin, Shirley, Chelsea, and Dean look shocked.
Bradley comes in to see Dot on with Abi. He lets them know Marge is giving birth. Dot runs out.
Carly says she’s off to the bar. Yolande and Patrick come in saying they couldn’t miss the surprise. Dean is struggling, so Kevin brings him up to the bar to get a brandy. Minty and Hazel are at the bar and Peggy gives him beers and an apology. He says at least Phil didn’t get his hands on the money tin. Hazel walks up and tells him the doors to the Arches were wide open.
Lucy is pouring herself a drink, while she’s laying on the bed. Craig comes out of the shower and asks if she’s kicking back and relaxing. He jumps over her. He starts touching her. She tells him to stop he’ll make her spill her drink. He starts to make moves on her, and she tosses her drink on him and runs to the bathroom. In the bathroom, she calls Ian. She says that she’s with Craig and it’s all gone wrong. She’s in a hotel and asks him to come to get her. Her phone battery dies.
Peggy rushes into the Arches and finds the empty tin.
Denise calls for Kevin and Dean to come on they are doing the picture. Brian says to say “Justice” Just then DS Dunn comes in and announces that Chelsea Fox and Dean Wicks are under arrest for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
