October 28, 2018 Episode 2 (UK Original Air Date August 27, 2007)

Ronnie is on the laptop as Roxy walks in. Roxy looks a bit rough for wear and tells Ronnie she’s dying. She tells her she’s just been sick and she thinks something died in her stomach. She asks Ronnie what she was drinking. Ronnie tells her it’s more like what she wasn’t drinking. She asks Ronnie to research whether she has cancer. Ronnie tells her she can’t she’s busy trying to book their flights back to Ibiza. Roxy protest and says she can’t fly back like that. Ronnie reminds her she has a fiance there, and Ronnie has all her money tied up in the clubs. Ronnie replies that she won’t have to as she is booking the flights for Friday, the day after Aunt Peggy gets back. This way they can leave before Peggy realizes they’ve lost half their staff. Roxy tells her they’ve made her a nice little profit. Ronnie tells her not after last night when Roxy was inventing drinks named after her; expensive drinks mind you. Roxy replies that “well that is me! Next time we’ll invent one that is cheap and miserable and name it Ronnie.” Ronnie gives her toast, but Roxy runs off sick.

Yolande is fussing over Patrick as they are getting ready to head to the Minute Mart for his first time since the attack. He asks her to give him a minute to himself so he can gather his thoughts. She says she will wait outside. Patrick pulls out a weapon and looks at himself in the mirror and practices his response.

Charlie and Mo are bickering at the table. She is practicing her Madam Zoro, and he doesn’t want to join in. Charlie is curious if his zucchini will win this year. Stacey is on the phone with her mum and pretends to be sick. She is off to see Sean. Charlie says she’s changed her tune. Mo or rather Madam Zoro tells Charlie he will win first place.

Garry is miserable listening to his mum and Minty.

Patrick is nervous entering the Minute Mart. Yolande comes in and says they’ll be open for the morning and then close to going to the Fun Day. She says she has a surprise for him. He says he can’t handle any surprises so please tell him. She tells him everyone chipped in for a steel drum band. Maybe it will stimulate his rhythms.

Ronnie brings Roxy some medicine. Roxy says the orange juice taste funny. Ronnie explains that is because there is no vodka in it. She tells her to drink it up and get dressed so they can open. Ronnie tells her she supposes she wants a pillow and blanket. Ronnie placates her and continues to make Roxy think she buys the act. She comes back and soaks her with water. Roxy jumps up and chases Ronnie.

Jane is sorting the fish and finds it’s past its sell-by date. Ian is ordering everyone around. He says maybe if his staff could push the virtue of haddock. Jane stops him and reminds him that she is his wife. Lucy says maybe, and Ian threatens to ground her for longer. Ian tells Jane not to undermine him in front of Lucy. Jane reminds him to not call her staff. She asks what he’ll be doing as she’s prepping everything for fun day. Lucy says ‘he’ll probably go home and polish his trophy.” Jane is confused. Ian says he bought it for the winner of the father and son race. Ian tosses a bit of a fit and tells them exactly what he’ll be doing while they are prepping the fish. Lucy says he’s been trying to book a celebrity to present the trophy and all. Jane tells her to get back to work, or she’ll be clearing out the fryers as well. Lucy is angry and grabs the rotten fish out of the garbage. She smirks and sets out to sabotage the day.

Stacey is waiting for Sean. He comes in all beaten up. He tells her the other guy looks worse. She wonders what has happened. He tells her people perceive him to be a racist batterer. She says she thought that was meant to be kept a secret. He says word spreads despite that. Some can’t keep it a secret. She glances at the guard he’s mentioning. He asks her for an mp3 player by this afternoon. She asks him if it is a bribe to keep from getting beat up. He says something like that.

Ronnie and Roxy are bickering. Garry is whinging about how his mum is shagging his best mate.T he girls tell him that he should be on tv on one of them shows. He says he doesn’t want to be on tv he just wants a sympathetic bar made to tells his troubles to. Roxy gets a call, and it’s Damian again. She tells Garry he’s going to have to lay his head on Ronnie’s chest. She walks away and declines the call. Ronnie wonders who it was.

Stacey and Sean are discussing Jean and how she will have to be told eventually. Stacey asks him why he’s so scared by her and he gets up and leaves the table. Tells her it’s done and walks away.

Jay is in the Minute Mart giving Patrick a hard time. He wants to see his scar. Patrick tells him he’ll see the back of his hand if he doesn’t stop. Jay replies that if he raises his hand to him, then he will do a better job than Sean. Patrick grabs him up and demands he apologize. Jay is screaming for him to stop. Patrick doesn’t hit him. Yolande comes out. Jay is screaming assault. Jace comes in and demands that Patrick stop. He makes a move towards Patrick. Patrick pulls out his weapon and wields it above his head and tells them to leave him alone. Patrick tells him that Jay came in and was mocking him and making fun of what happened to him. Jace turns to Jay and says it seems they’ve been here before, haven’t we? He tells him that Patrick is a brave man standing there and he’s going to apologize and show him some respect. He asks that if Patrick has any more issues with Jay to come to him directly. He tells Patrick that he needs something with a little more power, like a baseball bat. Jace grabs Jay and tells him to move. Yolande tries to comfort Patrick. Patrick apologizes and tells her he can’t do this. He walks out.

Roxy asks if Hazel has picked out a ring yet. Hazel answers that she had one, but it wasn’t right. Minty says that he wants to get her one that is special.  Hazel tells him that he’s the only treasure she needs. Roxy shows her ring off. Hazel admires it. Minty says it looks expensive. Charlie says a rich one. They ask what he does, and Ronnie says he owns properties and bars and restaurants in Ibiza. A text comes in, and Roxy walks out. Ronnie follows her. She admits it is Damian and she’s been deleting and avoiding his calls. Ronnie wonders if she is dumping him. Roxy says she knows what he’s been doing with the dodgy waitresses he hires. Ronnie thought she didn’t care about all that. Roxy says she tried that and it didn’t work. She wants to be loved not used. Roxy tells her not to pretend she feels sorry for her. Ronnie says she doesn’t. She already told her what she thinks of him. Roxy tells her she isn’t going back to Ibiza. Ronnie tells her she has to go and tell him herself. She is not going to do it for her this time.

Yolande comes in the pub and asks if Patrick has been around. She tells her not that she has seen. He’s probably out enjoying Fun day.

Ian is promoting the Father and Son race. The Steel band is playing. Stacye and Bradley are heading to the fun day. She

Yolande goes home and calls for Patrick. Outside Ian is stretching for the race. Peter comes up and tells him that he doesn’t feel well after eating fish and chips. Ian says it’s probably nerves and he will be fine. Stacey walks up to Deano and tells him that she’s just been to see Sean. She tells him that when he gets out, he’ll be coming after them. But Deano can change his story and blame it all on Chelsea, and he won’t bother him then. Chelsea says “you can take him this (a bottle of pink nail polish) as it will make him look prettier in the shower” Just about then Stacey punches her. A fight ensues, and the girls go at one another. Bradley pulls Stace away, and Chelsea gets in another good slap. Chelsea has Stacey by the hair and Stacey goes back after her. Roxy says if they were covered in mud and topless they’d make a lot more money. Chelsea yells at Stacey that she is a violent racist too and tosses Deano across into Mo’s table. Mo falls and squishes Charlie’s zucchini. Stacey and Bradley are arguing about the fight, and they spot Jean. Stacey tries to get her to come back to the flat but she won’t. Jean asks about Sean. Stacey makes up a lie, and then Bradley fakes a cramp. Jean asks how she can help. Bradley says he’ll need help getting home.

Mo is giving Roxy a reading. She asks about her future with Damian. Mo turns up the death card. Roxy wonders if that is bad.

The father-son race is about to start. Jay is trying to sign up. Ian won’t let him. Jay goes to Jace and begs him to do it. Jace says that the Bealle kid is fit and Jay smokes too many fags. If Jay promises to stop smoking, he’ll do it. The race starts, and Jace takes the lead. Jay tags in and they win the race. Ian is a sore loser and demands that the trophy goes to him and Peter. He says if the names are not on the list they can’t win. Peter tells him that they lost. Jace tells Ian that if he wants it, he can get off of him. Ian whinges. Peter is sick, and he has to listen to his dad yell at him. Stacey looks up, and Jean is gone. Bradley points out that Jean is chatting with Yolande. They rush over. Jean says that that poor woman was looking for her husband, Patrick. It seems he’s just come out of the hospital after being attacked, by Sean.

Roxy comes in, and Ronnie asks if she’s had a good time. Roxy looks a bit queasy. Ronnie asks her to stay out. She doesn’t want her to miss out. Roxy tells her she doesn’t feel well again. She then tells her that she needs to book the tickets. Roxy tells her that she will not go with her. Ronnie tells her that she will, as she has a lot of money tied up and she can’t afford to lose it because Roxy’s broken it off with Damian like a coward. Roxy pushes back and says that she is not going. She walks into the pub arguing with Ronnie. She tells her that she is going to do what she likes for a change and not care what anyone else wants or thinks. Just behind her they hear “Same old fight, different country.” It’s Damian standing in the pub.
