Pat is standing in front of the fence. Len gets out. He asks if she wasn’t expecting to find it like that. He tells her to call the developer. Pat says that she did, but there was no answer. Len wonders if these things were important. She says that they were Joan’s, her sister.
Heather is singing karaoke, and Shirley looks miserable. A man is watching Heather sing. A bunch of guys is laughing at her. The bar seems to wish she wasn’t singing. Shirley notices the man watching Heather.
Pat and Len see some guards and asks if they can come in to pick up the items she was meant to get. The guard tells her that they can’t, and most of the items have been shifted. Len asks him to; please let her look around. The guard won’t have it. He tells them that the builders will be piling in on Monday to start. He tells them he’s a guard, not a tour guide.
Dawn is in the room, and the shop owner is still there. She tells him she doesn’t expect him to stay. He tells her that she hasn’t thanked him for that dress. He tells her he paid good money for that dress. He makes a move, and Dawn kicks him out. He tells Dawn she has a problem.
Pat tells Len he can drop her at the station. He wonders if the things she was looking for would still be inside. He gets out, and then they break in.
Garry is begging Minty to come to help him out. Minty is trying to push him off. Garry’s mum tells Minty to go to him.
Heather and Shirley are still in the bar. The man watching her is singing heather’s favorite song. Shirley and Heather go through all her loves lost. Shirley tries to cheer her up. Shirley tries to figure out a way to cheer her up.
Len and Pat roam the halls. Pat finds a room that is open. It was empty but filled with things from the hospital. Len says he saw a room with Admin on it.
Dawn is calling Garry frantically.
Pat remembers how her sister was just gone one day. She reckons she was about four or five. Her mum told her that she went to a place where someone would love her and care for her. Her sister was only 6. She says that her sister died there and she never got to see her.
Minty heads out, and Garry’s mum follows. She wants to tell Garry the truth. She is tired of all the sneaking about. He tells her that it is Garry we’re talking about. She says she’s going with and he will be happy for them.
Back in the room Summer has dirtied her diaper again. Dawn says it’s worse than Ghingis. She is out of nappies.
Shirley and Heather are out of money. More bad singers are singing. The man makes his move on Heather. She tells him that he can sling off if he wants to get off wither her mate. He tells her he’s interested in her and wants to buy her a drink. Heather perks up.
The guard nearly locks Len and Pat in the room. He gets a call. Pat says he’s never asked why her sister was there. He says it’s not his business if she doesn’t want to tell him. She tells him that she had Downs. Her mum packed her off to this nut house, this looney bin because she had downs.
Dawn is in the lobby attempting to feed Summer. Summer won’t’ take the bottle. The clerk offers help. She asks Dawn if she’s warmed the bottle. Dawn says it’s not that she’s just not hungry. The clerk is startled but offers her help if she needs it. Dawn says thank you.
Pat says she used to send her birthday cards. She feels guilty about all the years her sister spent there. She says she wants to go. Len tells her “do you want me to tell you that you are a selfish sister. That you are rubbish.” Pat says she deserves it. He says “so you were a part of the decision making when your parents were deciding? What when you were 4 or 5?” She says she did have a decision to visit, but she stayed away when she was older.
Minty and Hazel find Garry. Minty decides he should talk to him first. Hazel walks off to wait. Garry is licking his wounds and tells Minty he doesn’t deserve this.
Len convinces Pat that she should keep looking despite her not visiting. Pat tells him that she’s been dead 40 years. Len is shocked. He tells her that it still matters and they should keep looking. He’s encouraging her and convinces her to keep looking.
Heather is talking about all the cheeses to the man. he telsl her she knows a lot about cheese. She’s enthusiastic about cheese. He tells Heather she was great when she was singing. He tells her she has lovely eyes. Shirley keeps drinking on his dime.
Garry is getting ice cream. Minty is on the phone with hazel and she tells him he can do it. He is hesitant but Hazel convinces him. Garry asks Minty if he wants to go for a beer.
Heather is singing. Shirley walks up to the guy and asks him what his game is. He tells her that he really likes heather and if she doesn’t like it too bad.
Back in the roo,m Dawn has heated up the bottle and Summer gladly takes it. She feels like she’s accomplished something.
Len and Pat find the Administrative office and it’s locked. He breaks into the room. The guard is looking for them. He hears the bang of the door. Pat and Len head in. The guard isn’t sure where the noise came from.
Minty is trying to tell Garry about why he’s really in Brighton. Garry is whinging about how birds think of him as a loser. Hazel calls Minty but he hangs up on her.
Pat and Len are looking for anything that is relating to Jean Harris. Len asks how old she was when she died. Pat says that she only has a photo of her from when she was 21. She was made up like a little girl still. Len says she wouldn’t have known any different, this was her home. The guard bust in on them.
The bloke who was making a move on Heather kisses her and his mates are laughing. He lifts his fist up in success. Shirley sees it. He yells “I pulled the pig” and as he walks off Shirley knees him and punches him. She knocks him straight across his mates. Heather runs off mortified.
Len begs the guard to let Pat keep looking. He agrees but gives them 15 minutes then they must get out. Pat starts searching again.
Garry and Minty are walking out of the pub. Minty keeps trying to tell Garry what has been going on. Just then Hazel walks up. Garry puts it all together.
Pat keeps searching and Len does as well. She says that it is going to take more than 15 minutes. Pat says that whatever they found it’s in the past. The guard gets a call. Len hurries because their time is running out.
Garry tells Minty that their friendship is over. Hazel and Minty look sad.
Len is telling Pat they should go just as she finds her things. Pat is overjoyed. She sees a photo of her sister. They hurry out and Pat stops to read the file. She discovers Joan is still alive, or was at least when she left. Len says “but you said she died years ago.” Pat says that the papers say she was transfered in 1989. She could still be alive!
