She turns to Patrick and tells him that the operation went well. Everyone is very pleased she tells him. Yolande tells Patrick that he gave them a real scare. She shakes her head and tells Denise “it’s true what they say. Everything changes in a heartbeat. You wake up and worry about the stock, simple things.” She starts to cry as she whispers that she keeps thinking about what the doctors said. She worries that Patrick will have permanent damage. That he will not be there and she will still have lost him. She whispers through her tears “come back to me, Patrick!”

Tanya is coming down the stairs, and Max asks her if she’s been sick again. She tells him no. He wonders since it happened in the middle of the night. She says yeah but she’s ok now. Deano still wonders, and she reminds him that they were the ones that saw him. Dean says he’s starting to wish they hadn’t. Chelsea notices that Kevin comes into the cafe and speaks to Carly who is at the counter. She asks if he’s heard from her mum. He tells her that she’s still at the hospital. She says so there is still no news? Chelsea and Deano make a quick exit, and Kevin and Carly are confused. Kevin asks Carly to look after the car lot for a few hours. He also offers some sympathy to her about Sean being locked up. She reminds him that he did not do it.

Sean is being interviewed by DI Carson. She is going on about the shirt. The attorney says “alleged shirt.” DI Carson says they can all agree that the said shirt went missing. She tells Sean that she can understand why he would be afraid. But the pattern the blood makes on the shirt would be able to tell them if the blood patter was the result of a violent attack or not. She tells him that the shirt could be his biggest asset and could help prove his story. He says maybe not.

Carly is arguing with the police station as she’s trying to get in to see Sean. Mrs. Masood is trying desperately to get the boot of her car open, and Carly is ignoring her. Carly sees Stacey walking past and rushes after her. She tells Mrs. Masood she’ll help her later.

The solicitor is telling Sean that there is a reason they keep asking for his shirt. They don’t think the witnesses will stand up in court. He says the shirt is substantial evidence to prove he didn’t do it. He reckons that they don’t have enough and are waiting on something else.

Patrick starts to choke as he wakes up. Yolande is asleep, and Denise alerts her that Patrick is waking up. They call for help. Patrick is panicked, and they ask Yolande and Denise to wait outside. Yolande opens her Bible to calm herself. She reads a passage that says “there is nothing that love cannot face. There is no limit to what it can face.” She prays he will be alright. The nurse brings them back in. Patrick motions for Yolande to lean in. He tells her to tell the nurse his darn throat hurts. The nurse says that is to be expected. He motions for Yolande again. He tells her the nurse has pretty legs. She smiles.

The solicitor tells Sean that they have to charge him by 7 pm. If they haven’t then they have to let him go because of due process. Sean is confused, and he tells him that if they haven’t booked him by then, they must let him go. The solicitor gets up to leave, and Sean asks him to reach out to Carly. He says he will on his way back to the office. Sean is feeling a bit hopeful.

She winces, and Dean tells her he can’t help it if her boyfriend is a nutter.

Patrick begs her not to leave him and tells her he’s ok.

She tells him that she understands since her experience with Owen. She tries to help him realize he can tell what he saw. She gets up to leave and turns to him and tells him that it is ok to feel afraid.

In the hospital, the doctor tells Tanya she’s all ok, and so is the baby. She tells her the baby is going to be fine. She asks if she’d like to know what she’s having. Tanya looks at Stacey and tells the doctor yes.

Across the way, the solicitor is giving Carly the update and tells her that if they release Sean at 7 that it would be best not to stay on the square. She asks how Sean is. Mrs. Masood pulls up, and Carly apologizes to her.
