Rainie begs her not to take it. No Tanya please no she cries. Abby cries out from upstairs. Tanya tells Rainie she will deal with her in a minute.
Ian and Jane are making out In the living room. Jane makes a comment that makes Ian upset. Meanwhile, Ronnie and Roxy are on the stairs giggling silently. Jane starts to grovel and gets Ian back into the mood. They begin to make out again. Ian asks Jane what’s she is doing. Jane tells him she is going to give him a massage. Roxy and Ronnie continue to giggle silently.

Rainie asks if she said to her that her Auntie Rainie was there. Tanya asks” the nieces you never acknowledge or send a birthday card too?” Rainie tries to explain, and Tanya isn’t having it. She tells her she needs to go before Max gets home. Rainie tells her she’s got it all wrong. Tanya tells her it’s all been a pack of lies. Tanya tells her the worst lies are the ones you tell yourself. Rainie swears she’s trying and has been. Rainie says to Tanya “4 A’s and 3 C’s I got at GCSE! How many did you get?” Tanya tells her that was over 20 years ago. Tanay tells her I’m not talking about what you did then I’m talking about now. Rainie blames Tanya for her drug addiction. Tanya tells her she never injected and she told her not to. Rainie goes into the affair with Max and how Tanya wasn’t sure about him. Rainie tells her you know what happened” my sister went and left me her 10-pound bag and bye bye university and life,” Rainie says to Tanya “did you tell Max about all that?” Tanya asks her if she was planning on blackmailing her. She whispers to Rainie “I’ve always loved you.” Rainie plays on Tanya’s weakness. She tells her she just needs one hit to get her through the night. Only 20 quid will do it, and she will be shot of her. What a bargain. Tanya walks out of the room. Rainie calls after her.
Jane is massaging Ian, and she’s trying to get Ian to relax. He jumps up off the sofa and tells her it’s not relaxing. Ian reminds her he’s just found out his daughter hates him. Jane says “ugh we’re not back to the diary are we?” Jane tries to help but makes it worse when she uses words Ian doesn’t like. They discuss Pete and his impact on Ian and the way he talks about himself and others. She tells him that he gets it from Pete. She revisits a story from when he was a boy. Ronnie and Roxie are still giggling listening in. Jane tells him to be easier on himself. Ian asks Jane if she’s going to leave him. Jane tells him no, she loves him. He says she wouldn’t be the first. She tells him that no one makes her feel the way he does in bed. He says what like Grant Mitchell? She tells him not to spoil it. Roxy and Ronni are shocked. Jane tells Ian he’s simply the best. Roxy and Ronnie make their escape with the Queen Vic Bust.
Tanya is sipping wine, and Rainie tells her that what she’s doing is no better. It’s ruining her liver. Tanya says her it’s nothing like what Rainie does. Rainie tries to tell Tanya that she can do her year in and year out without any ill effect. Tanya shoves her over to the mirror and shows her. Rainie blames Tanya and says it could have been her. Tanya tells her to quit blaming everyone else for her choices. Tanya tells her that maybe she did start her off on weed and speed. But Rainie decided to keep at it. She could have been anything she wanted to but what Rainie is really addicted to is failure. Rainie tells her that she’s going to go to the clinic tomorrow and get herself straight. She says to her that she will go to the clinic she promises. Rainie tells her 20 quid, that’s all I’m asking. Tanya grabs the money. She says her “do you see this money?” This came out of my escape fund. If I need to leave this home and this marriage this money will help me. She explains that Max has cheated. Rainie tells her that she had no idea. Tanya says her that there is no reason to make a threat if she couldn’t back it up about leaving him. Tanya tells Rainie that she is pregnant. What she would love is for Auntie Rainie to show up at the babies christening with some sort of future ahead of her. Tanya makes her an offer. Take the methadone and tomorrow we’ll see about getting you checked into a clinic. Or you take this money and never come back. You will never go near my family or me again. Tanya asks her what it’s going to be. Rainie tells her that she wants to do what she says. She tells her maybe in a day or two. Tanya says no. You either get yourself together, or you leave. She tells her she won’t be doing it on her own. She’ll stay up all night to help her. Max arrives home. Tanya meets him in the hall and takes him to the kitchen. Rainie eyes the cash. Tanya explains that Rainie is in the front room and then they hear the door slam. Max stops her from chasing after. He reminds her that she is pregnant and doesn’t need the stress. Tanya goes into the front room and sees the photo of her and Rainie but no cash. Max picks up the picture and chuckles. Max asks if she gave her any money and Tanya lies and says no.
The next morning Ian is all smiles as he opens the curtains. Jane says “do you know last night when you followed me upstairs? Did you notice anything missing?” Ian realizes the bust is missing. He panics!
Lucy hurries down the stairs to get in the car with Craig.
Ian walks into the pub and tells Ronnie he knows they did it. Ronnie tells him she doesn’t know what he’s talking about. She also tells Ian he’s doing that starring thing again. He’s offering her a deal. He tells her that something was taken from his house last night. The girls play mind games with him. He tells them he wants to make a deal. He’ll forget the money they owe him, and they can put the bust back where it belongs. Roxy says “you know who’ll be most mad about this?” Ronnie goes through Peggy and Phil, and Roxy stops her and says that Grant will be most mad. He does love a good bust. They tease Ian some more and then let it be known that Grant knows Ian’s missus. Ian’s demeanor turns angry. He knows they were there. The girls ask him how the 24-hour rally was. Ian storms off. Craig is in the Vic collecting his money for lending Ronnie the key. Jane narrowly misses the exchange as she burst in yelling. She tells Ronnie she knows precisely what she did. Ronnie tells Jane that Grant always liked a woman with a temper. Jane tells her that she meant what she said the night before about Ian being ten times better. If she hears them spreading any rumors it won’t be the bust in the canal it will be Ronnie.
Max brings in lunch to Tanya. She wonders why he’s being so lovely. He reminds her that she is his wife and carrying his baby. Tanya tells him she was expecting an “I told you so” Tanya tells him that what is weird about it all is that Rainie was the only person she could talk to about their affair. She convinced her to stick it out with Max. She has Rainie to thank for that.
Craig asks Lucy what she wants to do for the rest of the afternoon. Lucy turns around and says “when I was a kid my dad used to come home and kiss us goodnight and stink of chip fat. I swore I wouldn’t do that and here I am.” Craig asks her what she wants to do. She tells him she wants to get drunk.
Abi and Tanya are on the sofa, and Tanya feels the baby move. Abi asks her about the lady she was talking to last night. Tanya tells her that it was just someone she used to know.
Craig goes to buy beers, and Patrick questions him. Craig calls Patrick “Granddad” and is cheeky with him. Craig heads out with the beers.
Jane tells Ian she wants a drink. Ian refuses. Jane tells him she is going and he is taking her. They head into the Vic, and the bust is back in place. Ian orders a large gin and tonic and admires the bust. He pays for the drink and is pompous. They make a deal not to mention anything about Ian and promises not to whinge about the menu. Roxy asks her what she is doing. Ronnie tells her “just because we make a deal doesn’t mean we have to stick with it” Jane and Ronnie glare at one another.
Lucy and Craig are drinking in the car. Lucy makes a joke about her dad being killed, and Craig says it can be arranged. She thinks he’s joking. After she gets out of the car he puts the crisp in the glovebox and in it is a gun. Craig has a bit of a crazy look in his eye.
