26 August, 2018 2nd Episode (UK Air Date 26 July, 2007)

Peggy sees that Phil has not slept in his bed, but Ben is asleep on the floor. She tells Ben that things will be ok and promises on her life they will. Downstairs Phil is sitting at the bar. Peggy yells down for him, but he walks out.

Jim is begging Bradley to get out of the loo. Bradley comes out with a new hairstyle. Jim makes fun and runs upstairs to use the loo.

Peggy opens the door to Ronnie and Roxie. They are leaving and wanted to say goodbye. Peggy says she will call them a cab. Ronnie says maybe they’ll leave later.

Jay is upset that Burt is gone. He asks Jase if he left a note. Jase tells him no.

Minty comes into the garage and sees Phil. He asks him if he is alright. Phil doesn’t answer. Minty asks Phil again and tells him he shouldn’t be there. Phil doesn’t answer.

Ian is upset that there is no room in the house. Jane is trying to eat. Lucy is putting on make-up. He tells Peter and Lucy they’ll be working this summer. Bobby has aged. Lucy pours candy in a dish and says breakfast is served.

Peggy is ripping down the decorations. Ronnie and Roxie see her and offer to help. She says she thought they were leaving. Roxie says they are and Ronnie says we were. They offer to help Peggy run the pub. She tells them to get all the signs of Stella out of the bar. They take all the balloons out and release them. They say she was never right for the family anyway.

Kevin and Denise are drolling over the house. Pat comes in and says she’s forgotten to get Libby a present. They tell her its ok. Pat says not at all; they are family. Pat is out on the square and meets Jase. Jay tells him it’s his dad, and that Bert is gone.

Bradley is at Stacey’s, and he’s wearing a jacket covering his head. He shows her his new hairstyle. She tells him not to worry she has a comb. He says it’s the new Bradley. He is sad that she doesn’t like it. He looks defeated.

Peggy is tossing the last of Stella’s wedding decorations. She picks up the whiskey. Ben comes in dressed for school. Phil is calling Peggy. Peggy rushes Ben out and reminds him that it is the summer holidays. Ian spies Phil on the street and wonders why he isn’t with Ben. He tells Ian to leave him alone. Peggy yells at Roxie for drinking the whiskey. Roxie says it wasn’t her. Peggy says it wasn’t her or Ben. Phil comes in, and she realizes it was him.

Pat spies the house advertisement. Kevin walks in, and she hides it back. She pretends not to have seen it.

Peggy comes in and is holding the whiskey. She tells him not to drink it. He pours a glass. She tells him to pour the whole bottle away. He tells her he didn’t drink it last night and won’t drink it now. She tells him they will get through this. Phil wonders how he didn’t see what was happening. Peggy tells him not to wonder about that.

Ben sees Roxie. Roxie says if she were him she’d be wondering what good stuff he wants. She promises him to have Ronnie make him dinner.

Jase runs into Honey knocking her groceries out.

Bradley runs into Roxie. She likes his hair but tells him he looks like he’s wearing his granddad’s clothes. She promises to help him.

Ian can’t find his keys. Lucy wonders why she can’t have a cool dad. Jase comes in and asks if he can stay in the flat with Jay and tells her that Bert is gone. She agrees. Roxie wonders why Ronnie said they weren’t leaving. She says that it’s apparent that they are needed there. Ronnie notices Bradley’s new hair. Bradley calls Stacey for a date tonight.

Pat walks in and asks Denise and Kevin about the house. Kevin and Denise tell her that it’s time for them to get to their own place. Kevin says she deserves her space back. Pat says “what big and empty,” She tells them to do what they need to as she snuggles Janet.

Ronnie and Roxie are doing an excellent job of running the pub. Peggy is worried people will think she doesn’t want to be seen. Bradley comes in with bags of clothes for Roxie to help him. Ronnie and Roxie are chatting when Billy comes in with Honey. He introduces them to her. They tease him about him being all grown up now.

Lucy has the chippy shop, and Bobby is making a mess of things. Jane comes in but can’t take Bobby with her. Lucy loses her temper. Jane tells her she will have to keep him there. Lucy is upset.

Peggy, Ben, Honey, and Billy are in the kitchen at the Vic. Phil walks in, and Peggy tells him that Ronnie is going to make them a meal later and they can all gather as a family. Phil goes off that they can’t pretend that everything is alright and nothing happened. He storms out. Ben goes after him. Ben wonders if his dad is alright. Phil says he’s trying to be. He asks Ben if he’s alright. Ben says he’s trying to be. He says he’s really glad she’s gone. Really glad.

Bradley is wearing his new clothes, a new attitude, and has been drinking. He tells Stacey what he was doing wasn’t working for her. He shows her his arm, and tattoo of her name. She tells him she wants him, not this other stuff he’s doing. They make out.

Phil is walking down the street and bumps into a guy. They call him a grumpy old git. He picks a fight. They beat him up. Minty chases them off. Phil asks where they are. Minty says they are gone. Phil says to get them back as they aren’t finished.

Bradley and Stacey are chatting, and he tells her the tattoo isn’t real. He says he figures he’s still Bradley after all, and that’s good enough. Stacey agrees.

Peggy is cleaning up Phil, and she sends Minty off to the pub. She tells him not to say a word to anyone. Peggy looks at Phil. Phil says he only got what he deserves. Phil can’t take what he’s let happen to Ben. Peggy tells him “you think he can?” and slaps Phil. She yells at him that she needs him, so he needs to get up, and get home and start being there for Ben.
