Bradley is coming down the stairs and Jim is going up with a tray of food. Bradley thinks Dot has forgiven Jim for his mistake at taking Dot to a picture she would not enjoy as a biblical woman. Bradley has a bit of a laugh. Jim yells up the stairs he’s feeling under appreciated. Bradley offers to take the tray up and Jim refuses the rescue attempt.
Phil is sitting having tea with Stella. She’s looking at her forehead, which is bruised. Phil says it’s come up pretty bad. Stella agrees and says it will teach her not to trip over clothes Phil leaves lying on the floor. It will be fine and she can cover it up with makeup until the wedding.
Ian is looking for the perfect place to hang the dart board. Lucy notices it’s Peter’s dartboard. She tells him that it brings the armchairs there and all Jane will go mad. He tells Lucy “don’t you have school?” She says yes, but there is something she has to tell him and doesn’t want him going all mad. She tells him to remember what he said, that no matter what they’d done or gotten into that he’d always stick by them. Ian turns around looking a bit peaked. He asks her what Lucy’s done. She says she’s told Jane and she was great about it and maybe she should tell him. He tells Lucy to tell him. She declares she’s having a baby and leaves quickly. Ian is shocked.
Bradley arrives at Stacey’s and brings in the leftovers from dinner and series one of Battlestar. Stacey looks mortified. Bradley is curious as to what she thinks. Stacey says she can tell him now if he likes. She hands him back his curry and says she has to get off to the wholesalers. Bradley demands that she tell him what’s going on. She tells him nothing. He says he means with them… are they on or what? He thinks it has to do with the other bloke, the older one. That she’s not over him. She tells him it is over with him and to forget about it. She slams out the door. Bradley is left standing in the house and looks upstairs. He goes up the stairs.
Ian is speaking Jane and is relieved to find out it’s a fake baby. Jane says yes it’s just a plastic one that they give to teenagers to take home and make them realize how time-consuming babies are. Jane thinks she thought it was funny scaring Ian like that. Ian says yes it was right hilarious and his trousers are just about dry. Jane cuddles him. He wonders if she has a boyfriend. Jane says not yet or that they know of. It was not long ago she was playing with fairies and now he’s going to have to worry about her having sex. Jane reckons that the more that the baby screams less chance they’ll have to worry about a proper baby coming into their lives. Ian smiles.
Bradley is rummaging through Stacey’s drawers and finds his photo in there. Bradley gets up to see Sean staring at him. He stumbles all over himself trying to explain what he was doing. He tells Sean they are back together and points at the flowers he gave her. Sean says “and you were going through her underwear drawer why?” Bradley says he dropped a pen and it rolled in. Sean laughs and tells him not to worry that we all have our little secrets we don’t want anyone to know. Bradley heads out, and Sean yells boo at him.
Peggy, Phil, and Stella are sitting down discussing wedding invitations. Peggy gives her list to Phil, and he reckons he doesn’t know have the people on the list. Peggy says he should be ashamed as they are relatives! She asks Stella where her list is. Stella tells her that she hasn’t done one and she doesn’t think she has anyone to invite. Peggy asks her about her parents, and her sister she was going to move in with last Christmas. Surely she wants to invite them. Stella calls her self-silly and says she must not be thinking straight. Peggy says how could she with the bruise she has. She goes on about how many times she nearly broke something tripping over the boys’ things. Phil says something cheeky to his mum, and she tells him to get off to work. Peggy tells Stella “relatives and friends, as many as you like.” Stells looks nervous.
Dawn is on the phone when someone is knocking on the door. It’s Garry and she tears into him about knocking and waking up the baby. He’s brought her flowers. She asks him if has any chocolate and he says no, that Minty thought she might be watching her figure. Dawn is insulted. Garry asks to see the baby and promises to be quiet. He tells her Summer looks like her. Dawn says no she looks like Rob. Garry disagrees and Dawn has a go at him for just saying anything to make her like him. That he’s just as bad as Rob and all the rest of them. Garry asks if this is a bad time. She continues to have a go at him saying he thought this was his chance. That he’d come around and show her what a caring guy he was with his cheap minute mart flowers. He gets up to leave then she yells at him “oh that’s right walk away” He leaves as she continues to yell at him.
Sean lets it slip he caught Bradley snooping in her drawers. She takes off running towards home. Mickey and Li are walking and talking about the lack of rent money. She suggests he needs his advert changed up. He hasn’t had a call in ages. He tells her not to worry his phone is about to be ringing off the hook.
Shirley is inviting Deano to her flat warming. Pat walks up and asks what’s going on. Shirley tells her a flat warming to celebrate her staying in Walford. She invites Pat and the whole market. Pat asks if Deano is going and he says no of course not.
Stacey is staring at the photo of Bradley and then takes the back of the frame off. Behind it is a photo of Max. She pulls it out and begins to tear up.
Shirley is in the Arches inviting Minty, Phil and Garry to her party. She tells Phil it could be an early stag night. He says he’ll think about it. She tells him “you do that, I ain’t going nowhere.” She looks at Garry and says “what about you Don Juan?” Minty tells her to leave him, he’s having woman troubles. She says more the reason to come since she has pole dancers coming and five minutes with them will make him forget whoever he’s having issues with.
Dawn is flipping channels and Keith tells her she’s driving him nuts. Dawn shuts off the telly. Keith says that was a bit extreme. Dawn says she wants to go out, that it feels like a prison in there. He suggest she takes Summer for a walk since she’s nearly finished with her bottle. Dawn protest that she wants to go out on her own. She wonders if she can go out and have a bit of fun after all she’s been through. Keith feels like it’s a bit premature since she still has her stitches in. She says she knows but that is what painkillers are for, right? She begs him and tells him that he loves all this. He says yes go on!
Stacey is texting Bradley telling him it’s over and sends the message. She starts at the photo of him and tosses the frame. She picks up the photo of Max and sets it on fire. She watches it burn.
Peggy tells Stella that lunch is finished. She asks Stella if she’s finished with her invitations. Stella says that she is and will send them all off in the afternoon. Stella flips through and pulls out one to her parents and stuffs it in her legal bag.
Li comes in with the Gazette and asks Mickey about his advert. He tells her he told her not to worry that he already has a booking for tonight. Li asks if is going to have sex with them. He says no! Li says then he better let them know because massage means sex in the escort world. He says No it doesn’t. They are going to meet for dinner. Li ask him then what? He doesn’t know anything about massage. “Yes I do thank you very much! Preeti has been teaching me!” Mickey says. Li asks what he just said. He says “I love you.” She says no you didn’t… Preeti is teaching you? They argue about Preeti’s intentions for teaching him massage. Li thinks she fancy’s him. Li flips out on Mickey and storms out.
Big Mo asks Shirley how much booze she needs. Shirley looks at the construction crew and tells her enough to keep them lot going. Bradley walks up to Sean and says “thanks a lot! You told her didn’t you?” Sean teases him and says Stacey has a new line of underwear he can touch if he wants a feel.
Stacey is sitting staring at the note on the flowers. Bradley is banging on the door begging her to let him in. She opens the door. He tells her she doesn’t mean it’s over. He tells her he’s left work as soon as he got the message. He tells her that she is the most important thing to him. Stacey tells him she’s not a thing. He says you’re right, person. He begs her to forgive him, that he will never do that again. She tells him that she doesn’t love him. He says “you don’t mean that, you know you don’t.” Bradley is heartbroken.
Lucy hands off her school project to Ian, directing him to be careful as she’s just gotten it to sleep. Stella comes in telling them she is delivering invitations to the wedding and asks for a glass of tap water. Ian tells Lucy to get it and as soon as she is out of site he makes the baby cry. Lucy is frustrated and tells him she has homework to do. How will she ever do it with a screaming baby. He tells her she will figure it out. Ian grins from ear to ear. Stella rubs her forehead and Ian sees her bruise. Honey comes in behind Stella. Stella tells her she has an invitation for her and Billy. She rubs her forehead exposing her bruise again. Honey asks her what happened. Stella explains it was an accident that she tripped and fell over Honey is worried about her. Ian is puzzled. Honey is oblivious and Ian tells her that she can’t have wiped off her makeup by accident. That it was a cry for help because Phil is knocking her about.
Jim is lecturing Bradley about persistence being the way to a woman’s heart. He tells him to dig in and make a fool of himself if he has to. Go around and give Stacey the full Branning experience if he has to.
Jane is in the garden sitting with the baby and cuddling it. Jane seems to enjoy the cuddle of the project baby a bit much. Ian yells for Lucy and Jane tells him that she is doing her homework. He tells Jane that the sole purpose of the project is to prevent Lucy from doing things that will give her a baby. Ian tells Jane to give it to him and he will take it up to Lucy. Jane asks him if he thought she’d be working in the chippy. Ian says no, but then asks why she isn’t. Jane says she’s looking after “Matthew” for Lucy. Jane says “you’ve come to take the armchairs into the cafe aren’t you?” Ian says no, but then admits he wants to see what they’d look like. Jane tells him no, that they are their armchairs and they are staying right there and not leaving the house. She hands over the baby and it starts screaming. Ian says he paid for them. Jane says she did too but they are costing her more than just money.
Shirley directs someone to set up karaoke, She asks if she’s invited the others and the girl says no one returns her calls since Shirley’s been gone. Shirley calls Kirsty and tells her to invite her mates to 89 George Street for a party with big men with big wallets. She tells the girl if the others don’t show up then she’ll have to pretend she’s a pole dancer. The girls laughs and so does Shirley. Shirley asks her how much money she has because she has to pay for the vodka. She asks where Shirley’s been, since she thought she’d forgotten about her. Shirley tells her that she saw Kevin, found her kids, she’s had a lot to do. The girls asks “you’ve found them? Are they here, are they coming tonight?” Shirley tells her to go down to the bathroom as her nose is bleeding. She opens her wallet and takes her money.
Dot comes in and is dressed to the nines and hands Dot a rose. He puts on “Unforgettable” and invites her to watch a film with him. Do smiles and takes the rose.
Shirley’s party starts to fill up with people from the square. Stacey comes in and sees Bradley. He looks miserable. Minty walks up to him and tells him it’s hard isn’t it, not being here with the one you want? Preeti asks Minty if he’s seen Mickey. He says no but Li is over there. Li glares at her and Preeti cowers.
Mickey is on his date. She’s aggressive and demands Mickey pay her a compliment. She tells him if she wanted to sit there in silence she’d be out with her husband. He asks “your married” She says yes but that’s not what this is about. Her husband is off on a business trip with his new secretary who is younger than Mickey.
Back at Shirley’s the party is cranking up, Minty and Mo are singing, people are drinking and Heather (new girl) chats with Shirley. Heather tells Shirley to introduce her to someone desperate. Carly comes in and Shirley tells Heather that is her daughter. Carly tells Shirley she is only there looking for Dawn as Keith says she’s there. Once she’s found her she’s going.
Dot and Jim are watching the film. She’s eating a strawberry. She goes to light a cigarette and Jim takes the pack from her, pulls out two and lights them. He hands one to Dot and smokes his. Then begins to cough and choke on the smoke.
Carly finds Dawn up in a bedroom. Dawn is drinking. Dawn complains that she has to continually go to the loo, can’t dance because her feet swell and the drinks are horrible. Carly says good, let’s go back to yours and we’ll get some ice cream. Dawn asks if Summer is asleep. Carly tells her she was when she was there and if she isn’t now it’s because she’s missing her mummy. Dawn pips off that she gets it she’s a bad mum. Carly says that’s not what she was saying at all. Dawn says she’s trying. Carly tells her that she is doing brilliant. Carly laughs and says no wonder her feet are swelling up as she lifts her shoes up. Garry walks by and tells Dawn she can believe what she likes because he doesn’t care anymore. He says just because he fancied her doesn’t mean he isn’t happy being her friend. Even if it isn’t with him. Dawn and Carly laugh.
Mickey’s date passes up dessert. She leans in and tells Mickey they can order room service in her hotel room later on. She says he can hardly “massage” her there now can he? Mickey tries to explain there has been a misunderstanding. His date sets him straight that she is calling the shots from here on out. She tells him he’ll have to pay for everything. He says he can’t afford it She says then he’s going to have to deliver on his services promised.
Back at the party Li comes up to Preeti. Preeti says she didn’t do anything. Li yells at her to not give her that. She tells Preeti that if she touches Mickey again. Shirley comes up and breaks them up. Shirley yells at Heather to let someone else have a chance. Garry tells Minty he better stop drinking because the more he drinks the more attractive Heather becomes. Bradley takes the mic and dedicates a song to a very special lady in his life, she knows who she is. Stacey looks at him. He sings “When I fall in love” and sings it well. Stacey looks uncomfortable. Deano is walking into Shirley’s when Pat stops him. She tells him he should stay away as a concerned citizen might have called the old bill. Bradley is singing to Stacey and gets closer to her when a jerk opens his beer and splatters it in Bradleys face. Stacey yells at the guy. A fight ensues as the old bill walk in and almost catch a punch from Shirley.
Lucy comes into the cafe with the screaming baby. She declares she will never have a baby, have sex or do anything that will have her deal with a screaming baby again. She lays it on a table and walks out. Ian is happy.
Stacey is cleaning up Bradley. He tells her that he knows he’s done everything wrong and he’s messed up but that’s what people in love do. Stacey kisses him. Bradley goes to kiss her and she says she can’t do this and walks out.
