3 June 2018 1st Episode (Original UK Airdate 12 June 2007)

Jim can’t keep his hands out of Pauline’s urn. He opens it up and sniffs it and then Dot nearly catches him! He pushes her to decide what she’s going to do with Pauline. He puts his foot down and wants Pauline out of the house today!

Pat and Peggy share words about the infestation at Queen Vic. Bradly checks in with Stacey for her opinion on his suit. She lets him know he’s okay but teases him.

Chelsea chats up Sean to find out if he is feeling better. He tells her he was a mess the night before what with all the sweating etc. going on from his “illness.” He tells her not to be mad.

Rob languishes over his decree of divorce and what he’s done with May.

Dot ask Pauline for a sign as she hears Jane yelling at Ian. She’s got her sign.

Shirley wonders if Kevin knows where Carly spent the night. He asks her why and she walks away saying he should ask Carly.

Bradly is chatty with the other interviewee for the job. He goes on and on about a bunch of nonsense. She tells him he’s rambling and he agrees. She introduces herself to him

Ian is his usual cheerful self and scolding the girl in the cafe about the amount of bacon she is using on the rather large slices of bread. Dot comes in and asks for his advice on what to do about Pauline.

Bradly continues to chat with Julie, and they check out the other candidate for the job. Julie tells him that she has a child. Bradly gets called back for his interview.

Dot and Ian chat about days gone past with Arthur and Pauline. Ian remembers a time Arthur took her down to the sea. How he treated her like royalty. Dot feels like she has answers and thanks, Ian. Ian wonders why, and why now.

Shirley comes in and starts talking to Carly about all the things she sees when she’s standing out on the square smoking. Carly asks her if there is a point to it all. She tells her that she saw her and Sean the night before. Carly tells her she knows what she’s doing and Shirley challenges her that Sean is only out for himself.

Ian and Dot continue to talk about why she needs to do something with Pauline. He tells Dot that it would make her happy that it is her that is doing it.
Rob and May chat, and he tells her that he doesn’t think that what they did yesterday should be discussed. May says it was inappropriate and that maybe she wanted a reminder of what she was leaving behind. She walks away as Dawn walks up. She asks him if he’s found a job yet and what was that all about with May. He tells her he has received the decree. She uses the moment to say to him that he can use his time to find a job. He is frustrated as she walks away.

Jim and Dot talk more about Pauline, and she gets in the car to take Pauline to her resting spot. Jim thinks the square and Arthurs bench is the perfect spot. She tells him not really because that is where she died.

Pat and Peggy talk about the Queen Vic remodel and how she is focusing on the ambiance. Shirley walks up to Sean, and she tells him to leave Carly alone. She tells him if he’s going to cheat on Chelsea at least do it with someone she doesn’t live with. Sean and Shirley spar over what it means to get what you want and more.

Bradly and Julie are tied for the job, so they are given a task. The one who completes it to the degree they like will get the job.

Dot sits in a cafe smoking as two kids are spilling sugar on the table. Their mum comes and wipes it off. She clutches the bag with Pauline inside.

Bradly and Julie chat as they work on their task. Bradly asks if she has a photo of her son. They talk about her being a single mum. She discloses that she is going away at Christmas for a month. She asks him if he has a girlfriend. She figures out he has a girl he hopes to have as a girlfriend. They continue with their task.

Kevin and Dee talk about Carly and the situation, but he doesn’t know it’s Sean that Shirley was alluding to. Inside the salon Sean and Chelsea are intimate and he tells her that it’s the last time they’ll see each other. Chelsea asks him if it’s a joke and he tells her that no, it’s not, it’s just time to move on. She realizes he’s dumping her and she wants to know why. She asks if there is someone else and he says no. He’s a right jerk to her and walks out.

Bradly and Julie await the news, and he’s called into the office. He had a significant profit. But he is informed that Julie is getting the job. Bradly is stunned. The interviewer tells him that one day he’ll make a great trader, but it’s just not today and that Julie seems to want the job a little more. Bradly turns to him and thanks him and says that maybe he can help out when she goes away at Christmas. The interviewer is puzzled. Bradly throws her under the bus when he asks “hasn’t she told you?”

We move to Queen Vic where Keith is giving Jim lessons about coffee. Keith then gives him a lesson on how bodies are cremated. Sean chats with Shirley, and he tells her he’s there to drown his sorrows as he and Chelsea split up. She asks if it’s a game. He shuts Shirley down now that he’s not cheating on Chelsea. Jim and Keith talk about life and death. Chelsea walks into the pub. Sean tells Carly that he’s done with Chelsea. He tells her that Chelsea doesn’t know about them. Shirley chats with Chelsea. Shirley tells Chelsea that Sean told her something different than it was just time to be done.

Rob walks into May’s office telling her that he needs to see her and needs to be reminded. He seduces her, and they fall into an embrace.

Bradly is celebrating his win of the job with Stacey.

Chelsea, Carly, and Dee are in the kitchen where they are discussing her sleeping with Sean. Kevin walks in and scolds her as well. Carly is shocked when Kevin takes Chelsea’s side.

Ian takes Dot to the cemetery. She walked over to Arthur’s gravesite and began to talk to him and Pauline. She declares that she’s told a little lie to Jim. She tells her that she couldn’t spread her ashes in the sea. She feels that it’s better to have her and Arthur alone. She tells her she didn’t want her to end up like the sugar.

Peggy shows Pat the drawings for the new design of the Vic. Chrome! Pat hates it. Carly walks in to tear at Shirley. She rips into her hoping she’s happy because she told Chelsea about her and Sean. She doesn’t care who she hurts, her, Chelsea, Kevin, Dee. It’s always about getting the upper hand. Carly storms out.

Dot says a few words to Pauline and Ian comes to get her. They walk away as Dot turns to look at the grave.

May wonders what Rob is after. Rob wants her; he doesn’t want this to be over. May is confused as he’d just been telling her how he loved Dawn.

Jim has the sitting room all set up for a romantic evening with Dot. He tells her it couldn’t have been easy, saying goodbye to her best friend. She tells him she still has a best friend. They dance to music.

Bradly and Stacey are chatting, and he tells her that they were going to give the job to someone else. She asks why they changed their minds. He says he doesn’t know why. She figures out he did something and questions him. He tells her about the vacation and how he felt they had a right to know. She tells him that nothing changed. She tells him he knew exactly what he was doing and it was slimy. That he’s working too hard to be just like his dad. He declares he’s not. She says “too right, at least you know when he screws you over” and walks out.
